For a portable solution it seem good. It does not have all the firefox extensions, but K-Meleon is smaller. ( if like me you have a 128 meg usb key, you will care.) I think that it depend on software, even with w gig of ram some games use the paging file, but It sure that in windows you will not needed it. Why not use a memory manager with automatic page file configuration, you will see how much it use paging file with different application...

I dont include them, because standalone applications need to be independant of the windows installation. For example I use antivir to scan virus on any pc with any windows by lauching from cd. If a software use java, vbs, ie, registry, share dll, or anything like that it's not standalone for me. And some newbie need interface indeed...
