  1. I've been having the same "c000021a" stop error but when I log into windows. Everything seems to work fine but once in awhile but I get this error randomly during bootup. Sometimes I get the error during twice in a row and then it just goes away until later on. Here is my preset file: [Main] Env = 1.2.1 - 2.0.50727.42.Microsoft Windows NT 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Target = Windows XP Professional SP:2 - 5.1.2600.2180 - English (United States) [Tasks] Remove Components Unattended Setup Integrate Drivers Hotfixes and Update Packs Tweaks Create a Bootable ISO Options [Components] ;# Applications # Accessibility Options Briefcase Charmap ClipBook Viewer Defragmenter Games Internet Games NT Backup Paint Pinball Screensavers Wordpad ;# Drivers # Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) Display Adapters Display Adapters (old) Ethernet (LAN) IBM PS/2 TrackPoint IBM Thinkpad ISDN Logitech WingMan Microsoft SideWinder Modems MultiFunctional Portable Audio Printers Scanners SCSI/RAID Serial Pen Tablet Sony Jog Dial Sound Controllers Tape drives Toshiba DVD decoder card Wireless Ethernet (WLAN) ;# Hardware Support # ALI 1535 SMBus Host Controller ALI IDE Controller ATM Support Bluetooth Support Brother Devices CMD PCI IDE Controller CPU AMD CPU Transmeta Crusoe Floppy Support Gravis Digital GamePort InfraRed Multi-port serial adapters Teletext codec Toshiba PCI IDE Controller USB Audio support USB Ethernet VIA PCI IDE Controller ;# Keyboards # Albanian keyboard Arabic (101) keyboard Arabic (102) AZERTY keyboard Arabic (102) keyboard Armenian Eastern keyboard Armenian Western keyboard Azeri Cyrillic keyboard Azeri Latin keyboard Belarusian keyboard Belgian (Comma) keyboard Belgian (Period) keyboard Belgian French keyboard Bengali (Inscript) keyboard Bengali keyboard Bosnian keyboard Bulgarian (Latin) keyboard Bulgarian keyboard Canadian French (Legacy) keyboard Canadian French keyboard Canadian Multilingual Standard keyboard Chinese (Simplified) - 2. Not possible as far as I know, sorry. what a shame...thanks anyway though
  3. Using Xpize 4.6 beta 1, is it possible to change the desktop icons to 128x128 WITHOUT changing the icon size of the start menu? I like the large icons on the desktop but the large icons on the start menu makes the start menu way to big to fit my screen.
  4. Ok, I've just tested again using Virutal PC 2004 and your best bet is to use RyanVM Update Pack because you neeed both Windows Installer 3.1 & Microsoft Update 5.8.0.2469 integrated (and don't forget WGA Notification).
  5. Make sure you have a genuine version of windows or else you're going to keep getting the notification.
  6. Windows Media Player 11 beta 2 Download: http://rapidshare.de/files/32688951/ladude...11beta2.7z.html MD5: 17862EDB060898571F8AF749284A490D Installation Method: SVCPACK Can be uninstalled!
  7. I think I found the problem, you need Windows Installer 3.1 as well as WGA Notification. Link posted on top.
  8. I'm not 100% sure but it might need Windows Installer 3.1: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893803 Can someone else please confirm this.
  9. Download: http://rapidshare.de/files/31853776/ladude...fenderbeta2.cab MD5: F20D53D80F3C195CFB13D429EA3A609E Installation Method: RunOnceExe Prerequisite: Genuine Windows (even if you have a WGA crack, it might install but will not update) Internet Explorer and Windows Update NOT removed w/ nLite Windows Installer 3.1 (v2) & Microsoft Update 5.8.0.2469 integrated /w nLite: RyanVM Update Pack WGA Notification integrated /w nLite: download from MS or RyanVM WGA Addon
  10. It is Inno Setup so use /SILENT or /VERYSILENT
  11. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=82217
  12. Even if you bypass WGA during installation, it will still check it to download updates.
  13. This RunOnceExe is a lot better than the direct integration addon because it can be uninstalled.
  14. If BartPE can be boot from a USB, then theoritically Windows XP should be able to as well. There seem to be a tutorial here on how to do it: http://www.winusb.de/index_en.html
  15. TXTSETUP.SIF in installation folder does not need to be modified.
  16. I had the same question myself and I used SFV Creater 2.7 to compare the difference between different types of Windows XP, here's what I found: Difference between OEM and CORP version of Windows XP Pro: "I386\DPCDLL.DL_" "I386\EULA.TXT" "I386\OEMBIOS.BI_" "I386\OEMBIOS.CA_" "I386\OEMBIOS.DA_" "I386\OEMBIOS.SI_" "I386\PIDGEN.DLL" "I386\SETUPP.INI" Difference between different OEMs (eg. HP vs. Dell): "I386\OEMBIOS.BI_" "I386\OEMBIOS.CA_" "I386\OEMBIOS.DA_" "I386\OEMBIOS.SI_" "I386\SETUPP.INI"
  17. I'm working on a Multiboot DVD and I am using CDImage to create the ISO file. The content of my DVD is getting bigger and bigger. I'm finding that it takes a very long time to test changes to the ISO because it takes a very long time to create a new ISO after I have just made changes TO JUST ONE FILE! I was wondering if there's a program that can detect changes in an a directory and compare it to the ISO and only update the changed files. This program doesn't have to be able to "optimize" the iso because I can do it later with UltraISO. Edit: Hopefully this program is command line based or you can save the configurations.
  18. Mouse: no drivers needed (included in windows xp) Sound: http://www.creative.com/language.asp?sDest...pport/downloads Motherboad: http://www.msicomputer.com/support/TechSupport.asp HD: no drivers needed, but need drivers for Raid Controller which should be found on motherboard site (if the raid controller is builtin to your MB)
  19. I found the solution! I used Easy SFV Creator 2.7 to compare a VLK and OEM of Windows XP Pro and I found that the following files are different (not including the files in the $OEM$ folder): "I386\DPCDLL.DL_" "I386\EULA.TXT" "I386\OEMBIOS.BI_" "I386\OEMBIOS.CA_" "I386\OEMBIOS.DA_" "I386\OEMBIOS.SI_" "I386\PIDGEN.DLL" "I386\SETUPP.INI"
  20. There is only one line in setupp.ini that controls what product key it accepts.Of course, you will need the correct product key. I changed both the OEMBIOS.* and setupp.ini but it doesn't seem to work.
  21. I tried but I can't transform a VLK to an OEM. Is it true that this is not possible?
  22. I have copy of Windows XP Professional that I bought directly from microsoft right when Windows XP just came out. It is still unopened but I have to find somewhere in my house.
  23. Has anyone ever compared the difference between the files in the i386 folders of a OEM version of Windows XP versus a Retail version? The reason I want to know this is because I have a Dell OEM Windows XP cd with a lot of crab in it as well as a Retail version. I want to transform the Retail version into a Dell OEM cd without all the useless stuff. Is there a file that I can transfer from the Dell version to the Retail version which allows the Retail version to accept the Dell OEM cd-key and allows it to be activated?
