  1. Did you test this on a real disk or on a virtual machine that did not have those partitions?
  2. Well, I think it is only 80 pages because people try to show their entire regtweak file, which is usually very similar to everyone elses by now. I think people should only post new tweaks that aren't a part of the other ones already listed. When people post their entire reg file do they expect that we are going to examine it to see if there is anything unique? Especially if the file is not commented.
  3. What is the difference between Central European English and the "normal" english? I assume they are different. If you go to the normal download page and tell it you want English then you only get 6.01 and they advise to patch it.
  4. Google VirtualPC or VMWare
  5. Well, I would assume that it is NOT correctly installed if your system properties page still says SP1. I'm not at my home XP computer to verify this. The Win2K machine here at work says SP3 on the Sys Properties page.
  6. I did this using a multiboot cd that loads different winnt.sif's based on the boot selection. You have to hexedit setupldr.bin to tell it to point to different winnt.sifs. Check out this thread: Look Here It will also point you to here: Gosh's Page
  7. From the thread I referenced: Do you have "OemPreinstall = Yes" under the Unattended section of your winnt.sif?
  8. When you boot up, does your boot screen say XP Home, XP Pro, or just Windows XP? An SP2 version will only say Windows XP. That doesn't solve your problem but I'm just curious. Your system properties page should say SP2.
  9. I know its a stupid question but did you slipstream SP2? How did you do it? Did you use Nlite? I don't know the answer yet but the more details you provide the better chance somebody can help.
  10. There is a small discussion about the firewall over at the MSFN Guide page. HERE It says: So, I'd advise getting a copy of the Ref.chm from the Deploy.cab referenced and linked on that same page
  11. Have you tried looking in the 2 sticky posts at the top of this forum? They are all there. Have you tried a search in this forum?
  12. That doesn't ensure that it got copied over though. After the install did you check that the folder actually got copied? In order for Windows to copy that folder over you must have this in your winnt.sif: OemPreinstall=Yes
  13. King of the bump! bump count > post count
  14. Yes, get a virtual machine, either MS Virtual PC or VMWare. Are you sure that your $OEM$ folders got copied onto your C: drive?
  15. You can install apps by using several different methods. You can use the RunOnceEx or cmdlines.txt. There are also other methods but I would start by using one of the two I mentioned. Both are covered well in the guide.
  16. If you have broadband then there is no need for a download manager. Not a category you asked about but the best browser is Maxthon if your IE6 is up to SP2. If not, use Firefox.
  17. I don't about the upgrade version but have you looked here in this forum? There are recent threads about this: Look Here I'm not sure what you mean when you say process "the System32 stuff"
  18. It is hard to find. Check the "Change Office User Settings" Page. Then, select "Microsoft Office 2003 (user)" - "Help" - "Privacy Settings" - "Enable Customer Experience Improvement Program" Double click it - Select "Apply Changes" and unselect the check box.
  19. Boy, you forgot that lesson quickly!
  20. ECHO Removing Wallpapers and Screensavers... DEL "%systemroot%\*.bmp" DEL "%systemroot%\system32\dllcache\*.scr" DEL "%systemroot%\system32\*.scr" Then add the ones you want in $OEM$/$$/Web/Wallpaper ECHO. ECHO Removing useless shortcuts... DEL "%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Windows Update.lnk" DEL "%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Set Program Access and Defaults.lnk" DEL "%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Windows Catalog.lnk"
  21. Did you remove the video drivers using Nlite?
  22. You can but I am not the expert around here. Posting to the open forum will allow everybody to help. What you are asking is very detailed. You are not going to find anybody that will build them for you. Take a look around this site (all the subforums) as well as the Unattended Guide that I pointed you to earlier. The answers to all your questions are there.
  23. For installing apps and drivers check out the site I mentioned. Also, there is a forum here that lists all the install switches for installing your apps. As far as removing items you have 2 choices: Nlite will remove items from an XP install before they are installed. XPLite will remove items after it is already installed. Discussion of both apps can be found here at MSFN
