  2. Hi , I use Java plugin 1.6.0.18 with Firefox 3.6 and I have noticed that too; if you type "about: plugins" in the address bar of Firefox 3.6, you will see : Java Platform SE 6 U18 Fichier : C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\new_plugin\NPJP2.DLL Version : 6.0.180.7 Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_18 for Mozilla browsers with Firefox 3.5.* or previous versions : Java Platform SE 6 U18 Nom de fichier : C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\npjpi160_18.dll Classic Java Plug-in 1.6.0_18 for Netscape and Mozilla So you can see that Firefox 3.6 use the "Next Generation Java Plugin 1.6.*" that doesn't work on W98Se even with KernelEX, while Firefox 3.5.x and earlier versions and other browsers use "Classic Java Plugin 1.6.* that work without problems on W98SE and KelnelEX (I use KelnelEX 4.0 final 2; I wait for a stable release of the 4.5 version B) ). Is there a way to made Next Generation Plugin working with KernelEX in the future ? Thanks Xeno86 and all other for your work
  3. Hello all , I use KennelEX 4.0 final 2 and JRE 1.6.0.18 doesn't work on Firefox 3.6, but work fine on Firefox 3.5.7 , 3.0.17, K-Meleon or IE6. The reason is that Firefox 3.6 use the "next generation Java plugin" and it is not supported on W98SE with KernelEX 4.0 and this is known. Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U18 Fichier : C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\new_plugin\NPJP2.DLL Version : 6.0.180.7 Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_18 for Mozilla browsers Firefox 3.5.* and earlier versions use "classic Java plugin" who work well on W98SE with KernelEX 4.0 Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U18 Nom de fichier : C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\npjpi160_18.dll Classic Java Plug-in 1.6.0_18 for Netscape and Mozilla Does the "next generation Java plugin" work with KernelEx 4.5 Beta 1 or will it be working in the future ?
  4. notice Here you have link to the localized versions for Windows/Linux/Mac: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/fir...ozilla1.8-l10n/ why removed on ftp this version? Don't forget it was a nightly build The very last version before removing the build machine is here : ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/fir...-04-mozilla1.8/ Unfortunately it was a en-US only If you want to have a local release, you must use 2.0.0.20 version here : ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/fir...2.0.0.20/win32/

  10. Hi, The first release of VLC 0.9.x for Windows was 0.9.2 Grishenko http://www.videolan.org/news.html and this version never work on W98 even with KernelEX The first version that work on W98 was 1.0.0 with KernelEX 4.0 final 2 (and work not with the previous versions of KernelEX) http://www.msfn.org/board/kernelex-4-0-fin...6-page-200.html
  11. Hi , you don't use KernelEX v4.0 ? see : http://www.msfn.org/board/kernelex-4-0-fin...tml#entry872324 (my post #207) and I can say the last version VLC 1.0.1 work better than the prévious 1.00 with KernelEX v4.0 final 2
  12. and the last VLC media player 1.0.0 from Videolan work with this version (it dosn't work with the previous versions of KernelEx)

  14. UPDATE: just tried it. - uninstalled Fx3 - installed Fx2, made it default - installed Fx3 again Sadly the problem still exists. Thanks a lot for your comment anyway! Have you restart your PC after uninstalling Fx3 and after installing Fx2 as default browser ? You can try to install Fx3 in custom mode (instead of in standard mode) with creating a new folder (named different as "Mozilla Firefox" in Program files, "Mozilla Gran Paradiso" for example ) ? Personally I have both Firefox2 and 3 installed in two custom folders and it work perfectely
