i made a 'search command' in the component menu, and i found the record component. but by default it's not shown under the component menu. i have to search for it each time i want to use it

your package is very useful, that's why i use it and i thank you for your work B) . but i told you that, because i thought you removed some useful components, like recorder that i can't find under the 'component' menu. still with your 0.1q version i don't see the recorder plugin. it's strange. i'll try to uninstall & reinstall it.

in version 0.1q, why have you removed the "recording" plugin ? it was useful when you wanted to record streaming radios for example. it seems the last 0.1r version doesn't contain it too. i think i will not use it anymore cause you removed encoders plugins too . but you must have good reasons.

i have personally tested my Nero 6.6.0.0 SFX on my own Windows XP system, using the guide on the 1st page of this topic (made by SiMoNsAyS). i have the error. i removed Imagedrive, backit up, nero soundtrax, wave editor. EDIT : it seems that on my system there is 1 possibilitie that causes the error that i had and we were talking about : - the fact of removing some parts that shouldn't be removed because now i don't have any problem anymore, i didn't remove anything. i'll do more test now

open your batch file (or RunOnceEx file) with the command "edit" in a DOS window. you'll see, here you can write "é" and other french characters it will pass without problems.

i have an error when installing my Nero 6600 SFX : it tells me that "an error happened in the extraction". just below : "error: 3" "the access path cannot be found" "please reboot your computer or try again". i reboot but i still have the pb. i followed the tutorial from SiMoNsAyS poted in the 1st page. anyone has this problem ?

i don't know if i'm the only one that have this 'problem' with the last Foobar2000 0.1N pack. when i install it, there's no problem, but after that when i launch Foobar2000, i go to the Preferences tab and i can't set the ColumnUI display anymore. Only Default User Interface is here. if i uninstall the 0.1N pack and reinstall the previous version, it works well and ColumnUI is there again. so i think there's a problem with the last 0.1N pack.

@cestpaspossible : in fact, update.exe is a RAR SFX i created, with the last Kaspersky update. the kav5.0 update folder is loacated in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal\5.0. so you just need to update Kaspersky AV, and after that, go to this folder and build a SFX which will extract itself when run from RunOnceEx.cmd (or Batch file if you don't use RunOnceEx).

@webservices : i didn't know that. i'll try it for my next reinstall/test @cestpaspossible : the version is not the problem. with /S it must work. give us your complete/exact code, it can be the cause of the malfunction.

update : i tried to create a new Windows XP account with Administrative rights. so i tested to run The Sims 2 again, and it worked perfectly well ! i need explanation if you see why in my Windows XP account the game doesn't run (directx 9.0c error) and in a new account (so, same computer, same drivers, same softwares,...) it runs itself without any problem ?? please help me, i would want to run the game using my account, and not running it in a 'special Sims 2' account. thx

it didn't help me. i have a unattended windows xp + official SP2 installed on my computer and on my brother's computer (almost the same version). i can't uninstall directx 9.0c, i don't know if it's possible, but i cannot reinstall it because when directx9.0c installer looks for already DX versions installed, it finds my current version and skip the installation. note: in dxdiag all looks fine without any problem. In DX game, no problem (except for the sims 2 which doesn't want to run). note2 : the game is working fine on my brother's computer. i already tried to uninstall (+ reg cleaner) and reinstall the game, same problem.

@ MCT : i think i have the same problem but during the post-installation of Windows : during the RunOnceEx process, when it comes to the AR 7.0 beta installation, it seems to install it succefully & silently using the /qn switch. but in fact after a few seconds when installing other softwares, a new AR 7.0 process appears over the others, and wants to continue/repair the installation (and not silently). if you found how to bypass this problem, thank you in advance

so i tested it. the problem is still there my graphic card (a radeon 9800 /w directx 9.0c installed and XP SP2, Catalyst 4.9) is not compatible DirectX 9.0c. i can't play the game. it seems that i'm not the only one who have this problem. and the sims 2 is the only game which cause a problem. thx if you can help me.
