Ok.. I'm starting today using the BDD 2007 RC1. The Workbench is simply awesome. Now I'm just wondering what is in fact the BDD. Just a way to "organize" things or an big scale deployment tool that replaces the WAIK using.

Ok, I'm getting a little confused now. I've been able to insert a boot image (winpe) on my WDS server and I can boot from that same image. Now my question is: Is there anyway to initiate a Vista WIM deployment? From a command prompt?

It may be happening because the lack of additional packages in the winpe.wim file. Because of the code I had on my HTA file I needed to install WinPE-WMI-Package and WinPE-XML-Package. And then everything worked just fine.

I'm having a different problem. After WinPE launch, I map a network drive and when trying to lauch HTA I get an "Access Denied" error. When launching a vbs from that network drive I get de "Access Denied" error again. But...if I try to launch the vbs using the command wscript vbs than it works! Any ideas about this "Access Denied" error? [EDITED] Sorry, my mistake, after launching the HTA using mshta.exe htafile the problem is solved.

Bahhh... This really stinks. I really can't find any good reason to Microsoft not to include .NET on WinPE 2.0!

I'm a bit confused right now. I've installed WDS but now wich *.wim file should I use on the WDS Server? boot.wim or winpe.boot? And...how can I use network services in the WinPE? I'm using VMWare Workstation!

****...I getting really frustated with Vista Unattended. I'm just used to the Windows XP unattended way. Is there by any change a way to create an unattended dvd of vista with $OEM$ and the autounattend.xml file somewhere in the dvd? I've just read every *.chm from WAIK and just can't do it!

I'm beta testing Windows "Longhorn" Server and Windows Deployment Services look veeery nice. Microsoft learned a lot since XP Deployment.

I'm using the *.iss file. I've already tried to install de flash player and shockwave before the unattended installation of StudioMX but still get that message.

I also get that message at the middle of the installation asking if I want to install Macromedia Flash Player for Internet Explorer. I'm getting out of ideas how to pass this. Any1??

Hy everyone! I'm having a little problem with the boot. I use the HP tool to format my USB key with this command line syntax: HPUSBF.EXE HD3 -Q -B:C:\DOSFILES Then...I copy all the files of a Windows PE 1.2 cd and make the necessary changes explained on this thread. When I put the USB Key on the computer and boot from it, it boots but doesn't launch WinPE. Just the DOS Prompt. Any ideas?
