Hi, Can anyone give me an explenation of the recent command. Start Run type 'recent' OK It is pretty straight forward and is not a command as such, I think. But could someone explain what it is to me. thanks.

You could buy another hard disk just for file storgage, then your files would always be available on that. hail hail

If you have two PC you could setup one to act as a server and set your profile path to that so they are remote and alway available. If it is burnt on a dvd it means you wopuld need to re-burn your dvd each time you made an update to your docs. to much work for me. hail hail

I would only use this type of configuration for a profesional setup, meaning with a good backup solution. I agree with it_ybd if it is for home use just buy a 300gb drive if you want lots of storage. hail hail

Sorry my post was a little unclear. When I create a PDF I want it to lauch full screen upon opening, so when another person opens it does it automatically. Like using the F11 key in explorer, so there are no menus/scroll bars type thing. Anyone else ?

Hi I got sent a PDF the other day and double clicking it launched the PDF to full screen. I would like to know how you do this as it may be useful to me in the future. I use PDF Creator, but could not find an option in this to accomplish what I am after. Any ideas ?

Although not a batch file in the end you will only have onne file to carry around. Maybe not what you are looking for but someting to think about hail hail

In WMP10 you can put a star rating next to your songs. I want to know were these are stored so if I transfer my music to a new PC I can keep all my original ratings. The music collection is on a removable disk so it cold be used on a number of pc's. I know I could create playlist of them. But is there another way ? Any ideas ?

Thanks raskren - Perfomance was never really in my thoughts, it was more if the allocation size was bigger would it take longer for the disk to fragment and reduce the chance of data loss with so many files. hail hail

not sure for an external drive, try moving the disk to your PC and use TESTDISK or SPINRITE both are good recovery tools. A little knowledge of disk structure is needed though. hail hail
