What browser is this happening in mostly? Firefox for example lets you DISABLE SCRIPTS locally IN THAT BROWSER ONLY.... (Same with Maxthon (MyIE2)) Whats happening is you have SCRIPTS DISABLED which is why you cant use OPTIONS either.... You can try RE-INSTALLING IE and see if that helps.... Goto search and find IE.INF .. Right click the file and choose INSTALL... (It will re-install it) I think thats the correct way to re-install it,i hope someone will chime in and tell the right way if it isnt but i think it is

Make sure you have SCRIPTS ENABLED Evanhoe on your 98 computer.. Goto internet options/security/custom and scroll down to ACTIVE SCRIPTING and make sure its set to ENABLE.. "My assistant" and "My friends" are JAVASCRIPT handled so if you have SCRIPTS DISABLED,you wont be able to use those 2 options... Good luck

It must only affect certain browsers. I am using IE6 and luckily have no issues (Although i logout @ the end of each session (Usually))

I have found MANY GOOD THREADS on many sites i am on with last reply dates in 2002,etc and the link in that thread WAS STILL VALID,should it not be replied to just cause its date is old? Pretty stupid........

No it doesnt matter at all! I cant believe how many people make a big deal about DATES on many sites im on.... GET OVER IT!!!!! Find something better to worry about! If the link in the thread IS STILL VALID,and you have something to add to the topic @ hand,then why not? (THE THREAD WOULD BE DELETED IF THEY DIDNT WANT IT REPLIED TO) I have replied to a thread with a last reply date in 1999 before!! (ITS NO BIG DEAL) I am on another site that gets MORE BUMPED THREADS than here anonymous_user (They find the threads on that site via google i think)

Always remember to check REMEMBER ME when logging in,this will prevent this.....
