Has anyone had any luck with vLite and build 7077 x64? I'm getting errors at installation (reports that files are corrupted...contact your administrator, etc) when i try. And this seems to be the case for whatever i try to take out. Vlite worked fine on build 7068 and, strangely, seems to work for 7077 32 bit....but not x64.

I've just tried doing almost exactly the same thing.....with the same dispointing result. Question - is the /Remove-Package option supposed to actually remove features....or just disable them? Either way, it did neither.....when installed on a vm machine everything was still in place and working Could you expand on this a little? What all things are u refering to?

Yep........as far as i can see you're absolutely right. Just tried copying and registering the dlls, etc but no luck. Looks like i'm gonna have to use an alternative gadget. Thanks for your help.

Hi, I've removed IE. Does anyone know how to get the default rss news feeds to work on the sidebar? Thanks btw, i've been googling this for a while now........and zilch.

Been searching for a few days for a clue how to do this - but nothing. Does anyone know if there's a registry tweak to remove the IE and Windows Mail links on the start menu? I'd like a vlite'd version of Vista and would like to remove them without installing anything in their place. So far I've found the necessary tweaks to remove all pinned items or force classic start menu.....but this isn't what I want to achieve.

This problem is driving me gradually insane... Every attempt i've made so far at following yr excellent tutorial has resulted in files being modified but no additions being made. In other words, if i try to add anything to install.wim, such as themes of sidebar gadgets, then no changes are made. When i install and check those folders - they are empty. However, any chages i've made to existing files, eg - user account .bmp files and logon screen, are ok. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
