  1. To install the beta drivers I have, I can't use the search feature, I have to goto "Don't search. I will......." And still says "Hasnt passed Windows Logo...bla bla bla" FOR ###K SACKS, ITS SET TO "Ignore - Install the software anyway and dont ask for my approval" Thats with the first edit to the HIVEDEF.INF files, not tried the recently posted
  2. I have just checked my latest PC that I Installed and low and behold the VIA drivers have been installed Drivers\000\VIA_4.53\Inf\Winxp\VIAMACH.INF Installed Drivers\000\VIA_4.53\IDEWINXP Installed I get the ATi Drivers from extracting the install that you download from there site and copy this folder to the installation disk WDM_XP Shorly everyone one knows that! Then if I feel like using the Catylist I install that too, but usualy don't
  3. I have not had a problem with the none beta drivers on my ATi X800, 9600, 9000, 9200, not shore about the VIA Drivers!
  4. Most of the drivers and lay out are from Bâshrat the Sneaky's driver packs, I have just added to them and updated what I needed I think I will do a AIO DVD with each version I produce Im only on v1.048 Is that what you mean? in the winnt.sif
  5. I have shorted the OemPnPDriversPath down a little its now OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\000\VIA\Inf\Winxp;Drivers\000\VIA\IDEWinXP;Drivers\000\SIS\Main;Drivers\000\SIS\AGP;Drivers\000\NV\GART;Drivers\000\NV\IDE;Drivers\000\NV\MemCtl;Drivers\000\NV\SMBus;Drivers\001\COREGA\PCI-T32;Drivers\001\COREGA\USB-TXS;Drivers\001\SWLP-54108;Drivers\001\3C\1;Drivers\001\3C\2;Drivers\001\BR\1;Drivers\001\BR\2;Drivers\001\BU\1;Drivers\001\BU\2;Drivers\001\BU\3;Drivers\001\BU\4;Drivers\001\D\1;Drivers\001\D\2;Drivers\001\D\3;Drivers\001\D\4;Drivers\001\D\5;Drivers\001\D\5;Drivers\001\D\6;Drivers\001\D\7;Drivers\001\D\8;Drivers\001\I;Drivers\001\L\1;Drivers\001\L\2;Drivers\001\L\3;Drivers\001\L\4;Drivers\001\L\5;Drivers\001\L\6;Drivers\001\L\7;Drivers\001\L\8;Drivers\001\L\9;Drivers\001\L\0;Drivers\001\LI\1;Drivers\001\LI\2;Drivers\001\LI\3;Drivers\001\LI\4;Drivers\001\LI\5;Drivers\001\LI\6;Drivers\001\LI\7;Drivers\001\M;Drivers\001\N\1;Drivers\001\N\1;Drivers\001\N\2;Drivers\001\N\3;Drivers\001\N\4;Drivers\001\N\5;Drivers\001\N\6;Drivers\001\N\7;Drivers\001\NV;Drivers\001\O\1;Drivers\001\O\2;Drivers\001\O\3;Drivers\001\O\4;Drivers\001\O\5;Drivers\001\O\6;Drivers\001\O\7;Drivers\001\O\8;Drivers\001\O\9;Drivers\001\O\10;Drivers\001\O\11;Drivers\001\R\1;Drivers\001\R\2;Drivers\001\R\3;Drivers\001\S;Drivers\001\T;Drivers\001\V\1;Drivers\001\V\3;Drivers\001\V\5;Drivers\001\V\6;Drivers\002\Intel\1;Drivers\002\Intel\2;Drivers\002\Intel\3;Drivers\002\Intel\4;Drivers\002\Agere\1;Drivers\002\Agere\2;Drivers\002\Conexant\1;Drivers\002\Conexant\2;Drivers\002\Conexant\3;Drivers\002\Conexant\4;Drivers\002\Conexant\5;Drivers\002\NetoDragon\1;Drivers\002\ST\1;Drivers\003\SM;Drivers\003\A;Drivers\003\C;Drivers\003\CR;Drivers\003\CR\L;Drivers\003\N;Drivers\003\R;Drivers\003\S;Drivers\003\T\A;Drivers\003\T\D;Drivers\003\V\E;Drivers\003\V\V;Drivers\004\ATi;Drivers\004\ATi\B_18142;Drivers\004\NV;Drivers\005\ATi_wdm;Drivers\005\ATi_hdtv;Drivers\005\NV_wdm-VIVO;Drivers\005\NV_wdm-VIVO-TV;Drivers\006\acard;Drivers\006\acard\6280;Drivers\006\acard\6290;Drivers\006\acard\67160;Drivers\006\acard\671x;Drivers\006\acard\6880;Drivers\006\acard\6890;Drivers\006\acard\68x5;Drivers\006\adaptec;Drivers\006\adaptec\aac;Drivers\006\adaptec\aar1210;Drivers\006\adaptec\i2o;Drivers\006\adaptec\u160;Drivers\006\adaptec\u320;Drivers\006\adaptec\u320r;Drivers\006\ali;Drivers\006\amd;Drivers\006\highpoint;Drivers\006\highpoint\hpt366;Drivers\006\highpoint\hpt371;Drivers\006\highpoint\hpt374;Drivers\006\highpoint\hpt3xx;Drivers\006\highpoint\rr182x;Drivers\006\intel;Drivers\006\intel\eide;Drivers\006\intel\sataraid;Drivers\006\intel\u320r;Drivers\006\ite;Drivers\006\lsilogic;Drivers\006\lsilogic\megaide;Drivers\006\lsilogic\mraid35x;Drivers\006\lsilogic\mylex;Drivers\006\lsilogic\symmpi;Drivers\006\nvidia;Drivers\006\nvidia\eide;Drivers\006\nvidia\raid;Drivers\006\promise;Drivers\006\promise\fasttrak;Drivers\006\promise\fasttx2k;Drivers\006\promise\sx4000;Drivers\006\promise\sx6000;Drivers\006\promise\ulsata;Drivers\006\promise\ultra;Drivers\006\qlogic;Drivers\006\qlogic\12160;Drivers\006\siimage;Drivers\006\siimage\3112;Drivers\006\siimage\3112r;Drivers\006\siimage\3114;Drivers\006\siimage\3114r;Drivers\006\siimage\3124;Drivers\006\siimage\3124r;Drivers\006\siimage\649r;Drivers\006\siimage\680;Drivers\006\siimage\680r;Drivers\006\sis;Drivers\006\sis\eide;Drivers\006\sis\raid;Drivers\006\via;Drivers\006\via\eide;Drivers\006\via\ideraid;Drivers\006\via\sataraid" Yet to try it I have just updates the VIA Rhine Network drivers too to 3.38.0.0423
  6. RaveRod, I added that to the file but it still hasnt installed the ATi Beta drivers that are on the disk, it used the Microsoft once makes a change usualy just says in display properties "Unknown on {blank}" All the other drivers have been installed.. EG Sound, Network...Etc basicly anything that has been signed, i am not shore if there are any other drivers on the disk that my PC uses that are unsigned
  7. My Fujitsu is the same, the so called recovery disk must be a Corp as it doesnt need activation at all! been running it for months with it with out needing to be activated
  8. I dont thing its too long limit is 4096 and its 4081 (Exclubing OemPnPDriversPath= and the 2 quot makes) Other wise its 4101
  9. It installs all the other drivers correctly its just the once that aren't signed that it wont, you have to do it manualy after everything has been installed What am I ment to do about it being too long? split it into more, like so OemPnPDriversPath="...." OemPnPDriversPath="...." OemPnPDriversPath="...."

  11. I have added DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore To my winnt.sif to no avail, it still wont install my ATi drivers (There beta, v8-07-018380E) that aren’t signed it asks me to allow it even thought it says in System Properties....Hardware...Driver Signing Ignore - Install the software anyway and don’t ask for my approval I will port my winnt.sif later as I don’t have access too it right now
  12. It works, but asks for 2 extra crapy little files after I used shrink_lang02.exe Oh well
  13. My other computer that I have not used this pack on it there is a new update KB834707 - Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer for Windows XP Service Pack 2 Also there is an update for Office XP (I dont have Office XP! ) KB885884 - Critical Update for Office XP on Windows XP Service Pack 2 And something to add to Media player 10 - Update for Windows Media Connect Are there going to be added? PS Also can this methord be used to add service packs to NT4? I run it on a REALY old PC but its a pain in the arse as it has not CD ROM and takes me ages to install it over LPT CD-ROM, has anyone done it before? slipsteamed SP6a into NT4? .... One more this what are the folders sp2qfe sp2gdr update for? what files does the system need?
  14. Is anyone else having a problem with Windows Update v5? it wont list the updates that I need it just errors, I used this pack and its not worked since. It returns this error
  15. echo %DATE:~-10% Returns 11/10/2004 Im, using a Corp-English installation echo %date% returns 11/10/2004 but seeing not everyones is the same, so the universal version is just great well done swgreed I think
  16. RyanVM in the file HotfixRegistryAdd.cmd your code for the date is wrong, it puts 0/2004 as the date this will corrent it to 10/10/04 Old set INSTALLDATE=%DATE:~4,14% New set INSTALLDATE=%DATE:~0,6%%DATE:~-2%
  17. What would I have to do to add the following command to the right click? makecab "%1" "E:\WinXP\OEM\i386\%~n1.sy_" I have this command in a Batch file at the mo, I have added it as command to compress .SYS files but I have to call the Batch file cant just use the command as it doesnt like the last bit to make the filename up. also i havent changed it to take any extention yet just .sys Any ideas?
  18. Im asuming I have to open the svcpack.in_ and edit the svcpack.inf and recompress it if I want to install .NET Framework v1.1 SP1 & .NET J# and make shore that they are in svcpack folder as apose to my update folder [Version] Signature="$Windows NT$" MajorVersion=5 MinorVersion=1 BuildNumber=2600 [SetupData] CatalogSubDir="\i386\svcpack" [ProductCatalogsToInstall] KB832414.cat KB884020.cat KB885523.cat KB885626.cat KB885894.cat scripten.cat [SetupHotfixesToRun] netfxsp1.exe vjredist.msi /qn QCHAIN.EXE One more thing, has the Install date thing been corrected? it was saying in the reg that they where installed on 0/2004??? How difficult would it be to add VB6 runtimes and extra VC file? One I am trying to add is "Visual Studio.NET Baseline - English" (BOOTSTRAP.MSI)
  19. I have already added the entrys to the TXTSETUP.SIF [SourceDisksFiles] HotfixUpdates.inf = 1,,,,,,,20,0,0 HotfixFiles.cab = 100,,,,,,_x,,3,3 KB884020.cat = 100,,,,,,,,3,3 KB885523.cat = 100,,,,,,,,3,3 KB885626.cat = 100,,,,,,,,3,3 [B] KB885894.cat = 100,,,,,,,,3,3[/B] scripten.cat = 100,,,,,,,,3,3 DOSNET.INF [Files] d1,HotfixUpdates.inf d1,HotfixFiles.cab d1,KB884020.cat d1,KB885523.cat d1,KB885626.cat [b] d1,KB885894.cat[/b] d1,scripten.cat And copied the updated files to a sep folder ready to be compressed and added C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache\acspecfc.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache\sysmain.sdb Just need to add them to the HOTFIXUPDATES.INF and the relevent REG Info Not shore I will be able to do that YET!
  20. Im trying to do the same thing as RyanVM but I think I will just wait, its rather complicated one thing I dont understand is why he has'nt uncluded all the files that are updated by each patch RyanVMs Code HKLM,"%SP3UPDATES%\KB885523\Filelist\0","BuildCheckSum",0x00000000,"1c9c5f" HKLM,"%SP3UPDATES%\KB885523\Filelist\0","BuildDate",0x00000000,"Thu Sep 23 22:55:57 2004" HKLM,"%SP3UPDATES%\KB885523\Filelist\0","FileName",0x00000000,"acgenral.dll" HKLM,"%SP3UPDATES%\KB885523\Filelist\0","Location",0x00000000,"C:\WINDOWS\AppPatch" HKLM,"%SP3UPDATES%\KB885523\Filelist\0","Version",0x00000000,"5.1.2600.2523" HKLM,"%SP3UPDATES%\KB885523\Filelist\1","FileName",0x00000000,"sysmain.sdb" HKLM,"%SP3UPDATES%\KB885523\Filelist\1","Location",0x00000000,"C:\WINDOWS\AppPatch" HKLM,"%SP3UPDATES%\KB885523\Filelist\1","Version",0x00000000,"0.2.0.40923" Patch its self Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3\KB885523] "InstalledDate"="10/8/2004" "InstalledBy"="Administrator" "UninstallCommand"="C:\\WINDOWS\\$NtUninstallKB885523$\\spuninst\\spuninst.exe " "Description"="Windows XP Hotfix - KB885523" "Type"="Update" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3\KB885523\Filelist] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3\KB885523\Filelist\0] "FileName"="acgenral.dll" "Version"="5.1.2600.2523" "BuildDate"="Fri Sep 24 03:55:57 2004" "BuildCheckSum"="1c9c5f" "Location"="C:\\WINDOWS\\AppPatch" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3\KB885523\Filelist\1] "FileName"="sysmain.sdb" "Version"="0.2.0.40923" "Location"="C:\\WINDOWS\\AppPatch" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3\KB885523\Filelist\2] "FileName"="acgenral.dll" "Version"="5.1.2600.2523" "BuildDate"="Fri Sep 24 03:55:57 2004" "BuildCheckSum"="1c9c5f" "Location"="C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\DllCache" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3\KB885523\Filelist\3] "FileName"="sysmain.sdb" "Version"="0.2.0.40923" "Location"="C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\DllCache" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3\KB885523\Filelist\4] "FileName"="sysmain.sdb" "Version"="0.2.0.40923" "Location"="c:\\windows\\$hf_mig$\\KB885523\\SP2QFE" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3\KB885523\Filelist\5] "FileName"="acgenral.dll" "Version"="5.1.2600.2523" "BuildDate"="Fri Sep 24 03:43:05 2004" "BuildCheckSum"="1c8270" "Location"="c:\\windows\\$hf_mig$\\KB885523\\SP2QFE" He only covers the first 2 KB885523\Filelist\0 KB885523\Filelist\1 but not 2,3,4,5, why? 21. go to Start..Run then type tweakui and tell me what happens theres no need to tell it the location but seeing it load for the first time on this PC I think I better make the delay greater before the settings are applied, anyway I am looking into using AutoIt 3 instead
  22. It’s in the runonceex which waits for the app to finish before continues anyway, just not for my Office 2000 installation and nore for my VBScripts
