@ incroyable hulk thanks for your immediate response & your hint: the /desintegrate: switch worked perfect for me. hihi. so, it's manually "work" to do. i thought integrating hotfixes is a bit like "slipstreaming" instead of the way i do it til now: i add the KBxxxxxx.exe files to the svcpack-folder & add those entries in my svcpack.inf file under: [SetupHotfixesToRun] KBxxxxxx.exe /u /n /z hm? btw: is it necessary to order the kbxxxxxx files in a special way ??? (lookin' forward to your next joke)

@ incroyable hulk first: thank you very, very much for initiating this page and keeping it up-to-date, i really appreciate & prefer this "sticky" the windows-update page..... @ all wizzards as i'm not that familiar til now with the integrate option, i want to ask: if i integrate hotfixes to my unattended windows prof cd (i already integrated sp2), what happens if for example hotfixes already integrated become "obsolet" because of newer hotfixes ??? (like the removed KB890047 & KB867282) do i have to rebuild my cd ? thx for any comments.

yepp, it was listed as critical.... as i'm still building and "trying" my cd, i let u know, if it happens again.

(like the blaster hotfix for example) today i installed my system fresh & new with all your listed hotfixes, but windows update still offered one critical update for installation: KB867801 Download Link for W2K (English) it's a ie6 service pack update.... as i don't think that u "missed" that one, or nobody else figured this out - maybe it's my configuration anyway ??? my cd installs: W2K (SP4 integrated), IE6, DirectxC, WMP9, MS Journal Viewer (incl. Patch JV886179), NET Framework (incl Patch FR867460) hm.....

hi everybody, while lookin in the forum for "a solution" i found this thread - i'm also preparing an cd for automated hotfix installations - and hope u could enlighten me... is there a possibility to check if an hotfix is already installed, before installing it again ? well, i would like to add "every patch-day" the necessary hotfixes to my cd and it would be great, if i don't have to care, if some of them are already installed on the system(s). and, if running in runonce, wouldn't it be necessary to add: REG ADD %KEY%\295 /VE /D "Verifying....." /f REG ADD %KEY%\295 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\qchain.exe" /f at the end ? help would be appreciated, happy happy new year to this great forum!! - here in austria last day of the year just started.....

I was getting a bit nervous during watching the unattended installation and the data-light of my external network-usb device started "blinking" before all hotfixes have been installed. (Sorry, I also forgot to explain that my hotfixes are installed during RunOnceEx.Cmd) [bM]Crusher: It's a W2K (SP4) installation & I think there will be NO Service Pack 5 ?!

I got a workin' unattended W2K-CD, thanks to all those guides & infos.... But I'm wondering, if it's necessary to disconnect the network/internet connection-cable during installation, because: Installing Windows and all hardware drivers, including my network-card, I think the internet connection could be "open" and of course dangerous, before all the hotfixes are installed ?

If I check my updates at the windows-update-homepage, all hotfixes seem to be installed correct! BTW: Does anybody know, where I could get the "Windows Update Software", which has to be installed, before you can check online your software version, hotfixes...? I think, you may have to check first your winnt.sif, if OEMPreInstall is set correct: [Unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended UnattendSwitch=Yes OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=Yes ;$OEM$ copied Hope this helps...
