thing is, i dont have anything like that :S im wondering if it could be my custom bootscreen :S ill find out when my windows is done installing on vmware again (5 mins left) i took out all the new tweaks, only thing left is my custom bootscreen

yes , i most definately will im just working out some minor tweaks in my setup .. 1 of my new .reg files is causing windows 2 display a "2k" like interface, with My computer & junk on the desktop & classic start menu :S

Indeed, i cant even fill a 700MB cd im at 300MB (XP + Progs) im waiting til sp2 final's out b4 i burn my final copy, but that doesnt use up much space, im just in the process of getting everything perfect with my ISO's regards

ive had the buffer underrun thing happen, with v5 of easy cd creator, i havent tried version 6, but version 5 has an "issue" with xp.. u could try using nero, it works perfectly for me regards

at the top of your regfile did u add "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00" Then a blank line, then your reg files, then another blank line @ the bottom? regards

if u add the customized files 2 your XP CD replacing the old 1's u can use custom files that way, or u can put them in the dllcache folder & use them that way ( i think thats what your meaning) but 80% of files XP comes with by default are protected system files, most of the .exe's & .dll's are But i dont know of EVERY file, sorry hope this helps

hi windows file protection (WFP) works by checking the file versions from System32\dllcache with the ones on your computer, if they are altered it replaces them, for modders this can be a pain, so alot of ppl just disable sfc (System file checker) u can activate SFC by typing SFC /SCANNOW in run & u can disable WFP by registry tweaks, or modding the file on your XP CD regards, HTH
