right, until reader is installed there's nothing to move from plug_ins to optional

grab gif movie guear for icons (30 days trial), that will let you conver .ico files to .png individual images. then use an image editing apps like photoshop to make the propper changes on the theme.

ok, i did a little mistake while writting the code, simply move multimedia plugin to optional\ dir and there won't be any problem. it's also language (path and drive) independant. good luck! ps: code above is updated

maybe you want to check this thread, it will be useful for you. as for my experience you need to include only the dir "\Driver\2KXP_INF", subdir is not necessary for this driver (not the same for audigy driver for example).

maybe is a stupid question or probably i'm missing something... why don't you slipstream sp2 and post-sp2 hotfixes into your sp1 xp cd (with nlite for example) and then with that cd update all your machines...?

@Mekrel my installation is basically the default stored on mozilla plus a few plugins (their size is about 2mb extracted) and a few things removed (read feature list). if you don't find it suitable (i can't understand it) why don't you download the guide attached to first post and build one by yourself? if you can host it i'll sticky it like the others on this same thread.

@Mekrel sorry, you can't add/remove components from the .msi installation. this wasn't the purpose of @totoymola, he built the installation for himself. about me, i don't have any knowledge on how to edit the .msi file, i only know how to use it and i'll be glad to help with switches
