lol your card (as mine) is ddr (double data rate) so must be 200x2=400mhz

it's the worst thing about catalyst, if card is not present then drivers won't be installed ... but an advantage for people using their unattended cds with different machines and hardwares ...

my drivers are perfectly installed i suppose is because you run installation before runonce, did you run it from cmdlines? try to install at a later point on windows setup...

for the shortcut a simple command will do the job... del /f /q "pathtolink\link.lnk" rightclick shortcut to CC at the top of the menu; you'll need to search throught your registry. probably the reference will be placed on a "HKCR\*" , "HKCR\folder" or something like this so your reg must be... [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\...] about the last paragraph sorry i don't know what you want to mean , probably because i use CP in the place of CC

well bitdefender is what i would select, clean, powerful, lots of features ... at the moment i'm using symantec9 that don't take much resources but the liveupdate system sucks ps: maybe you could find more info if you look throught the "what is the best av" sticky thread

i agree with @doggie is a bit hotter but that's because is a p4. a normal temperature can be between 45º and 55º.

well i know it can be configured separatly, i wanted to mean that you need to click "hide inactive icons" and that would affect all the icons on the tray. if you don't want to hide the rest of icons in the tray (that is what i want) you need to configure the rest of icons on the tray to "show always" because they are by default on "hide when inactive". dunno if it's clear and as Astalavista said, my purpose is to remove that icon unattended that maybe is not imposible but rather difficult.

you've found the main problem on this. you CAN'T use the original installer because is not silent by default on the first post of the thread i started, there is a link to an installer made by @totoymola, well there are 2, one that include themes, extensions and etc and the other, basically the same as original plus flash plugin. with that installer and sun's java: ready! hope it helps

@lostone you used gui replacer, didn't you? i plan on doing something like this but would be a great project: Ximian/Gorilla Desktop conversion from Windows. i've got all the resources but i'll need a lot of time to apply all the changes. i've just installed ximian desktop 2 on my virtual pc to port images

well it depends on the purpose of your work. i mean, if you're going to browse the net, write a document or something like that, then w2k3 appears to be a "bit" speedy than xp. now if you are going to make intensive use of 3d graphics like play a game, then stick on xp.

Astalavista thought that it was a startup program located on the system try for people that don't know about it, appears when you plug-in a a device that can cause a hang or something when removed. that icon let you remove the hardware first on windows and then un-plug it. at the moment i haven't found a way on how to disable it, sorry no luck for the moment.

i've updated my winrar to 3.42 version i would upload the file to ezshare but i doubt some1 is interested in the spanish version. if you want to change the main window is as simple as edit the bmps extracted with a resource hacker program. if you want to change icons for filetypes just edit the icons with reshacker. this is on winrar.exe you can optionally edit uninstall.exe and rarext.dll, the first to change uninstall apparence and icon and the second to edit the winrar explorer cascade menu images. finally if you are a little picky you can change the icon on created rar-sfx by reshacking .SFX archives. too easy...

well there are several extensions to manage your bookmarks so there's no problem with that. the only thing that bug me are a few (small) glitches at the time of viewing a page specifically built for IE and there aren't many outhere...

not sure, i'm curious too. i think this is the first msi file i find that does not use those switches...
