heh i have it too [this game is a waste of bandwidth] but i think it sucks a** you just run round in circles firing crap weapons all over, they dont even kick back. the explosions suck a** all the guys are all in these huge metal suits but run round faster than linford cristie. theres no object to the game, other than run round fire at everything. its no game of wits, cunning and tactics, its not sof2 and it certainly aint battle field 1942. its just half life online with beter graphics!!! do me a favour, look all over the pc, the mobo, graphics cards, take all the cards out infact, pci and agp, check there is no oil in them or on the cards. put it together again and try this, put the cd in, boot the pc. go to the repair console, it looks like DOS. type in sfc /scannow this will check the system for damaged or missing files and replace them. hope this helps! next time turn the thing off!!! messing with a fan when running can cause a short (that would include putting oil in the bearing, which then gets on the bushes, causing a short) a shorting fan can take out any other device with it, be it a hard disc, floppy drive, the motherboard, PSU etc! you connect to fans to splitters on the power supply, others on main boards, just think of the expensive hardware a $10 fan can kill. it aint worth it. This is written by a guy who not so long back unplugged a fan while the pc was on and it blew his CD combo drive worth £175. ouch!

lol@msnwar make sure its all cleaned out flash, dont forget the psu. best to get in the back grill of that with a vac and attachment, is the correct driver installed for graphics? network card? try update all your drivers, including mobo ones if you need them, grab the latest via drivers too if you have a via chipset (they did wonders for my pc, infact they stopped it locking up randomly, but it was a rare occurance) also.. are all the IDE leads properly seated? give em all a good shove, same for pci cards. if you have an old AGP slot that doesent have a clip on the back check to make sure the card is in the slot properly, some tend to move backwards slighlty (hence new ones have a clip and cards have a hook on now) scan disc the drives too. failing that... run the pc for a while, then put your hand inside. ok next time it locks up open it up and put your hand inside (with the pc turned off like) does it feel warmer than last time? if it does add a exaust fan in there. ive found in my case anyway, that heat collects under the pci cards, to the point i had to fit a fan in the front of my case blowing air over to the pci cards, causing the heat to move around the case rather than just collect there, a pci slot fan might be an idea but the front intake fan cured my problem there. if all of that doesent find the problem... i give up!

save yourself a heap load of money and just buy a **** standard case and mod it. those cases are made by chieftec. people keep getting confused and think they are made by antec and thermal take when they are simply third party mods being sold on. in the uk www.overclockers.co.uk sell them, i got my full tower scorpio from there. they also sell the dragon in full tower and atx sizes (that case up there is an ATX dragon by the look) *edit: its got 6 drive bays, its the server case version. DIY! its more fun and rewarding. (cases i mean lol)

is it turned on in the BIOS? is the IDE cable in the right way round (check both ends, the rec edge on the IDE lead gos in Pin1) are the jumpers set correctly? is it sharing the IDE lead with another device? or on its own lead? how old is this pc exactly? cpu speed and bios make and version if you have it plz. this should be easy to sort out also.. im not sure if windows 3.1 will support CD drives....
