Regardless of the fact that the hotfix he wants to install is integrated or is an addon, it has nothing to do with his question, he is asking what you have already stated "create a batch file that prompts you at first startup whether or not to silently install" so how about giving him some "technical"details how to accomplish this ??

I would recommend the "/integrate" method .. no offense to nLite .. but I gave up with it a long time ago ..

I run all mine from RunOnceEx.cmd except quicklaunch.reg i run from cmdlines.txt because it does not work from RunOnceEx ...

Have you tried bootsect.exe on your vista dvd in the boot folder? Just did a quick search on Google and found this thread that might help you? Although they are talking about Linux there might be some info to help you out?

I am not really familiar with playing around with boot settings, but have you tried any programs like EasyBCD?

I don't know about your problem, vLite has always worked 100% for me every time, I will suggest you put xp first and then vista .. I have it that way on 3 pc's with no problems ...

I guess you would put ARBEITSGRUPPE ... why not do it yourself as with all my experience nLite does work as its meant to .. is why I don't use it ..

I don't use nLite for many reasons so I can't help you there with what to do, you could try putting this into the WINNT.SIF file: [Networking] InstallDefaultComponents="Yes" [identification] JoinWorkgroup="MSHOME" I'm pretty sure MSHOME is the default setting even if your not connected to a domain, so I think by putting this in it will skip that part as you would like it ...?

you could try putting some of this info into the WINNT.SIF file in your I386 folder: [Data] Autopartition=1 MsDosInitiated=0 UnattendedInstall="Yes" [unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended UnattendSwitch="Yes" FileSystem=* WaitForReboot="No" NoWaitAfterTextMode=1 NoWaitAfterGUIMode=1 FileSystem-ConvertNTFS Repartition=Yes ExtendOemPartition=0 Just copy what you need to use, the text above is for a fully unattended install and will auto partition to NTFS.

It can be done with cmdlines and RunOnceEx, depends what reg your wanting to import, you can read about that here.

In the Unattended Mode section select Prompt Repair in the drop down menu .. EDIT: Actually if you dont select Unattended it shouldn't give you an Unattended install? Not real sure as I gave up with nLite and did it all the hard way ...

I had this problem also, the way I fixed it was to stop using nLite and learn how to do it all the long way .. the only thing I use nLite for is to make an ISO for testing as its pretty quick at doing that .. but sometimes even that fails only having to do it again ...

I honestly have no idea. im only a newbie with this also, have you tried running your batch.cmd from RunOnceEx? I think cmdlines runs during install at T12 and RunOnceEx runs after ... ?

do you have batch.cmd in the same folder as with cmdlines.txt?

when you do a complete format with your recovery cd is there a folder named "DRIVERS" located in "C:\"? in there you should find the toshiba bluetooth software and microsoft bluetooth software, you must install the toshiba bluetooth software (can be done with nLite), then turn on your bluetooth/wireless adapter and then go to control panel and click on the bluetooth icon, after you click that it should install all the drivers, by default I dont think you can do it unattended with nLite or any other apps, thats the way it is for my Toshiba laptop anyway, and the way it was explained to me when I purchased it, kinda strange if you ask me EDIT: a bit late with my reply ..good to see you got it worked out ...

I know you can skip the product key as I have done it and it works, but I didn't use nLite. EDIT: I thought it might have been because of the "UnattendMode=ProvideDefault" but I just tried this with my finished version that being the only thing I changed and it still skipped the product key ...
