  1. I believe these are the updates you will be looking for: IE7-KB947864 IE7-KB950759 KB898461 KB941569 KB942763 KB950760 KB950762 KB951376-v2 KB951698 There may be more as I have not checked for around a week.
  2. What program is this for? It's possible I guess that it does not have an .iss file within it?
  3. have you tried setup.exe /r /f1test.iss? or setup.exe -r -f1test.iss
  4. Not really familiar with this but just put -R without the rest and look in C:\WINDOWS for it?
  5. Have you tried putting this into your WINNT.SIF: [unattended] OemPreinstall = Yes ??
  6. You would think that by selecting "provide defaults" that it would actually provide the default setup?! But it actually doesn't, try selecting "Prompt repair" that seems to be more the DEFAULT settings.
  7. actually with your oeminfo.inf file I think it also works without putting any entry into the .bat file .. all you need to do is put your oeminfo.inf into $OEM$ -> $$ -> System32 folder and it gets copied onto your system drive??

    slipstream

Is this while trying to slipstream sp3? There is no need to slipstream sp2.
  9. I have been using nLite Addon Maker, all you need to do is then get the programs silent switch and add that into the file
  10. I am using SP3, and going by VMWare there are 10 Updates that are needed
  11. There are a few ways to do this, I think the easiest way to do something simple like this would be to put this into a .txt document: @echo off del /f /q "%AllUsersProfile%\..\Default User\Start Menu\Programs\Remote Assistance.lnk" Save the .txt file as a .cmd file, go here and download nLite addon maker and make a .cab file and add it as a hotfix with nLite.
  12. I don't use either of those, once I have integrated a service pack I then load it up in VMWare and use Microsoft Update to check if anything else is needed, if it is then I download from Microsoft and integrate into the setup files.
  13. I think i was using a sledgehammer and a chisel thanks for the tip, but I prefer doing it the way I described. Thanks for the info on iexpress 03GrandAmGT, never heard of it before and I was able to use it to integrate .NET 1.1 into my setup, as nothing I found would work, not even the silent switches on the microsoft site
  14. Sorry i did miss read and thought i saw oobeinfo oops .. Try adding this into your RunOnceEx.cmd to copy oeminfo.inf into the system32 folder: copy %CDROM%\$OEM$\Software\oeminfo.inf %systemroot%\system32\
  15. You need to read that guide again, you should have: a folder named $OEM$ in your Setup files with these in it: 1. $$ folder with a System32 folder with cmdow.exe inside that 2. Software folder (or whatever you want as long as you put it in the RunOnceEx.cmd) where you want all the apps to get copied or installed 3. cmdlines.txt with this: [COMMANDS] "RunOnceEx.cmd" 4. a RunOnceEx.cmd with something like this: cmdow @ /HID @echo off SetLocal enableextensions SET CDROM=%~d0 SET KEY=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\$OEM$\Software\##Location to your .bat file or you can possibly add what you have in your .bat file here (Not done what your doing so not really sure) EndLocal EXIT Hope that helps ... [EDIT] Why are you trying to copy the oeminfo.inf file to the system32 folder in Windows? I'm pretty sure that stays on the cd and is not used by the OS, its only used during setup.
  16. Just slipstream SP3 into ur SP1 version, I cant answer your other question but I wish I knew the answer.
  17. Did you do this 10 times? [EDIT] Wouldn't it be easier to open a new .txt file and put something like this into it: J:\XP_x86\updates\IE7-KB947864.exe -s:J:\XP_x86\GRTMPVOL_EN J:\XP_x86\updates\IE7-KB950759.exe -s:J:\XP_x86\GRTMPVOL_EN J:\XP_x86\updates\KB898461.exe -s:J:\XP_x86\GRTMPVOL_EN J:\XP_x86\updates\KB941569.exe -s:J:\XP_x86\GRTMPVOL_EN J:\XP_x86\updates\KB942763.exe -s:J:\XP_x86\GRTMPVOL_EN J:\XP_x86\updates\KB950760.exe -s:J:\XP_x86\GRTMPVOL_EN J:\XP_x86\updates\KB950762.exe -s:J:\XP_x86\GRTMPVOL_EN J:\XP_x86\updates\KB951376-v2.exe -s:J:\XP_x86\GRTMPVOL_EN J:\XP_x86\updates\KB951698.exe -s:J:\XP_x86\GRTMPVOL_EN Then save the .txt as a .cmd and run it? It then integrates all the hotfixes into the setup files with no need to use the RunOnceEX. And as I said in my last post, they all show up in Add/Remove programs/Show Updates and none show up when you check for updates.
  18. I dont use nLite to integrate SP3, I use the -s: command to do it manually, I then use WMP11 Slipstreamer to integrate WMP11 then I use nLite to integrate IE7, it works fine for me ... in 1 of those articles they dont say why to install WMP11 1st? Or are they saying you must install WMP11 before making any changes with nLite? I have read too much, it all gets confusing ..
  19. Sorry, assumed you were using nLite, and with nLite you integrate SP3 before WMP11 or IE7
  20. You should integrate SP3 before IE7, is that what your doing? SP3 -> IE7 -> WMP11 -> Hotfixes and Updates Try integrating SP3 then finish/close nLite, then open nLite again and integrate IE7/WMP11
  21. I get the same problem at 33 mins, so it must be a VMWare problem
  22. Problem is fixed by manually integrating all hotfixes and not using nLite, all the hotfixes show up in Add remove programs and none of the hotfixes show up in updates Example of manual install: C:\XP_Setup\Updates\KB951376.exe -s:C:\XP_Setup\GRTMPVOL_EN [EDIT] There is now an update to this hotfix, v2 is now available as of yesterday
