  1. edited: because the bug doesn't exists on NCAB only using the felix method.
  2. ASUS P4PE (Promise 376) Hope it helps hwids.txt
  3. @wile_coyote: i will think about your idea to save the settings ...
  4. @wile_coyote: Like XPero explained the set icon background transparent and the desktop views aren't permanent (this is because of the windows implemention). Thats why i added the timed refresh feature, this way while having the program running every 5s it will check if the style is changed and if yes reapply the tweaks checked.
  5. HEHE indeed a very promissing company !!!! I just don't understand the Junior part A coffee please! B)
  6. I have tested the last version of xpize uae 1.2 in my notebook and it works perfect. i have installed via windows and also patching the i386 files.
  7. To avoid duplication of posts, go here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...t=50&p=298175
  8. @ BAM and ALL: About your english-dutch-nvidia language problem ... go and vote in the poll (sticky post) about creating a english only release of the drivers. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=42949 The problem is that many drivers when installing go and check for the keyboard language selected, and "force" the language of the drivers/control panels to that one. This happens with me also (i'm portuguese, but i use and prefer english windows). But in my case many times there are translations in brazilian (portuguese from brazil) and they force them But the biggest advantage for people that just wants english software/drivers, is that this "lite" version of the drivers will be: - smaller (less space occupied in the install cd); - faster (less time to install and to copy files); - cleaner (unused language files in the windows folders, in ATI case almost 20Mb!!) - and not "dutch-portuguese-english" problem The same happens with the Sound Control driverpacks. The good news is that removing those extra languages is relatively easy, so i asked Bashrat to create new versions of those packs. And he is waiting for your votes!
  9. Ok i agree with official drivers ... the solution to use the omega was only for a faster implementation of them in the driver packs, and to take advantage of the speed & quality tweaks. About the foreign languages ... i understand that MANY are from germany etc ... but most ppl i know uses the english version (like me for example, i'm from Portugal). It isn't possible to make the foreign languages optional? (for example a .bat to remove them) Thanks
  10. About the Driver Sound Pack A link ... my error .. is not in intro.html (here is correct) ... but in all the other html files!!
  11. But i agree with ZileXa ... many people uses (me for example), omega drivers for non-mobile cards, especially for the tweaks that he applies to them, a plus is that also you have mobility support !! Ask Omega and usem them please !! PS: Please remove foreign language from the drivers, they just blow up the size and are not needed (or at least make it optional). Thanks.
  12. First of all ... THANKS for all the hard work with this driverpacks! THANKS!!! Just waiting for radeon mobility support in the graphic pack, hope that appears soon BTW .. i don't know if you do but ... remove foreign language support from the graphic drivers (control panels also), it just keeps the size small and they aren't necessary (or at least make it optional). One small bug in the intro.html from driverpack base since a few versions ago: - the header link to DriverPack Sound A is wrong. It is DriverPack_Sound.htm instead of DriverPack_Sound_A.htm Keep the good work!
  13. XPero: Can you change the installer so you can choose where the files are located? This way we could point to our i386 dir, patching the files (of course, unpacking them first if needed, patching, modpe, and repacking). This way would be the best of two worlds with just one installer Also ... if possible fix the mmc.exe graphics i mentioned above (just run mmc.exe from start...run and you will see)
  14. XPero: the problem is that sometimes i don't have the latest windows version with all the updates installed, and then i prepare my unattended cd with the latest RyanVM update pack, etc and also with the latest XPized files. Having a tool that could update those files without having to install windows to get them would be the best! One thing: in the mmc.exe the toolbar icons are a bit strange, specially the help and the back and forward disabled icons. Thanks
  15. flyakite: About the "READ THIS", so why isn't possible to create a simple "updater" that does this same changes over the installation files, instead of needing to mess with the current windows install files (they could not be the latest versions).
  16. NO! Don't get rid of classic packs ... maybe create a patcher (not installer) for the installation files, this way no more probs with versions, just change the resources of the dlls.
  17. I HAVE FOUND THE BUG! The problem is in txtsetup.sif. If you notice there is a "end" character at the end of txtsetup.sif (before modification). Then after running the driverpack script it adds the entries at the really end of the file, this way not leaving the "end" character at the end of the file. SOLUTION: Just cut and paste the character to the end of the file.
  18. Suggestion: Replace the bitmaps from explorer.exe (7010 and 7011). They are the logoff and shutdown images when used the classic start menu. The originals are 16 colors! If you want the high color version of them just send me a pm. Another thing ... why you don't compress the files using the high compression option: makecab /D CompressionType=LZX file.xyz also apply to all the files the "modifype.exe -c file.xyz" to recalculate the crc (this part i'm not sure if it is already done. if yes sorry)
  19. I know that with the older versions was possible to create a separate boot cd, but with the new version 9 isn't possible because it uses a completly different core (it is from Drive Image) But what i really want is a software that makes the backup but makes the backup disk bootable, not needing an extra disk with the software to recover (like nero backitup does ...)
  20. I have tested norton ghost 9 and it doesn't create a bootable cd/dvd. You need to have the symantec recovery cd to restore the image ... very bad move from symantec. Btw: Ghost 9 is just Drive Image 7 from Powerquest rebadged.
  21. Thanks for the reply ... but at least ghost 2003 had a very silly problem because it asks for a bootable diskette to copy the boot ... the problem is that i don't have a diskette driver in my laptop!! About roxio and ghost 9 ... i didn't test it.
  22. Like the title says... i'm searching for a good harddisk partition backup software that burns directly to dvd, but creates a bootable dvd (the backup data + recovery app bootable in the same dvd, so i don't need to have an extra cd or dvd with the recovery program) I'm using right now Nero Backitup, it does that ... but it is very basic ... any other software that does the same? Thanks

    WIHU Suggestion

Yes it works, sorry for the trouble. My only explanation is that i had a bit older version. I redownloaded the last version and this one works right. Edit: Exactly! I had the .1 and the latest is .2 version Thanks for all.

    WIHU Suggestion

But the problem is that the "hint" message appears at the very beginning of the program, even before the first dialog (create primary user account dialog)! It should only appear after that dialog and only if the user chooses to use the current logged user instead of creating a new one. Showing the warning at the very beginning of the applications doesn't make sense. Sorry for all this trouble. Thanks for your time.

    WIHU Suggestion

Once again ... THANKS! But that place to make the warning maybe isn't the better (right at the start of the program), because that warning just makes sense if the user selects "use currently logged user". Maybe the best place to make the warning is when entering the users settings list (when i refered to check in the loading i thought it would be at this time the loading). Another possible check ... - You are logged as "Administrator" - You have in [users] instruction to edit/disable/etc the user "Administrator" - And you type as new user name: "Administrator" and fill the other fields - Result: You will have 2 "equal" user accounts. This may give problems.
