  1. Thanks, KB969559 is an SP1 update, i only provide Post-SP2 updates now, so it doesn't apply anymore!
  2. Hi, you cannot slipstream SP2 with the current version of vlite. The only way to slipstream SP2 is to do a reverse integration, here is the weblink which describes how to do this. Or you can see it here:- 1. Install Vista SP1 to a secondary partition (not the main boot partition). The primary reason for this is one doesn't want all the boot associated files of that computer related to BCD and boot.ini being part of the final image. 2. Once in the Out of Box Experience (OOBE) after setup, type Ctrl-Shift-F3 to enter Audit mode. In case you're wondering what/where OOBE is, it is the part after setup where the user is setting up his/her username, password etc. 3. The system will then reboot into Audit mode and a Sysprep window will pop up. Do not close the Sysprep window. 4. Run the Vista SP2 standalone installer and let it do its thing. 5. After the SP2 setup is complete, you'll find yourself back at the main Vista desktop with the Sysprep window open and SP2 will be installed and ready to go. (Optional/Recommended): Microsoft has included a tool with SP2 called compcln.exe which can be used to remove older versions of components that have been upgraded to new versions in SP2 to save space. Once SP2 is installed, simply run compcln.exe via Winkey+R (Run command) or via the command prompt). Afterwards, from the Sysprep selection window, select OOBE, Generalize, and to Shut Down the system. 6. Boot the system into another OS install (ie. XP), do NOT boot back into the new Vista SP2 install, and run the following imagex command (imagex can be found in WAIK):- imagex /compress maximum /flags "Ultimate" /capture d: c:\install.wim "Windows Vista Ultimate" where d: is the drive Vista is installed on and c:\install.wim is the location to store the new install.wim. Replace "Ultimate" with whatever edition of Vista you installed and replace the drive letters (d: and c:\install.wim) with your own. Also note that the "Ultimate" specified after /flags should be replaced with one of the following if another version of Vista is being captured: HomeBasic HomePremium Business Ultimate 7. Once the image has been built, replace the old install.wim in the Vista SP1 in \Sources\ with the newly created install.wim and then build a bootable ISO image with any burning software that you use. It has to be noted that the above method is for a single edition of Vista. If one wanted to integrate SP2 into all the editions of Vista, you would have to follow Steps 1-5 for each edition and use the imagex /append function to build an install.wim that contains all the editions of Vista. 3. Is there a UK link to this page, cause i would like to sign up. or is it just for the US. Disregard link is above, thanks! Update - Weblinks are now dead!
  4. Glad to help you, and i always keep my UL's up to date as much as possible!
  5. Microsoft does not support vlited windows vista install images, which is why you are getting the errors for sp2. You have to use a fresh clean copy of vista enterprise that has not been vlited, and has sp1 installed (because sp1 is a requirement to installing sp2). Hope this helps.
  6. Just a guess, but i think the reason why he doesn't have time now, is because he has been hired by Microsoft. They obviously liked his programs.
  7. Just a suggestion, if you have it, you could downgrade and try version 1.1.6 which worked ok for me even in windows 7, tried using 1.2 in win7 and it wouldn't work, plus there have been a number of bugs that have surfaced with this version.

  9. No, i don't use any of those services as i am not much of a chatter box, the only other suggestion i can think of is to use Windows Update and when it's done scanning your computer, go to optional and select whatever is in there, cause usually they put the drivers in there! PS - When Windows Update offers you 2 options Express or Custom, choose Custom that way you can select your updates as well as drivers!
  10. What model is the soundcard, I know it's conexant, and what OS are you running xp x86 or xp x64?
  11. Try this driver, i've had trouble with my sound before in both xp x86 and x64 on my laptop, but found this driver version 3.45.0.50, and it works in xp x64, so it might work for you! Click Here Or if you are using a 32-bit version of xp use this driver here
  12. I have made a new UL for Office 2003 that includes all post-sp3 updates up to 10th March 2009, you can download the file from here
  13. I no longer provide a new update list for Office 2003 SP3
  14. The only way I know is that, you can integrate your programs into the vista image by doing a reverse integration! Other than that, I know of no other apps out there that can do this kind of task, maybe vlite in the future might be able to do this.
  15. I've got no problem in you or anyone else (as long as you ask) in editing my UL's, I know that english is not everyone's first language!
  16. There is no way you can make a new Vista DVD from the recovery partition, it's hidden and only be accessed either by a cd/dvd or through one of the options when you boot up the computer, which will give you the option recover your pc to factory state. Sorry to say this, but if you've lost your Vista DVD disc then there is no other way but to buy a new one.
  17. Yes it is, as long as you have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or later installed on the computer it should run fine.
  18. Thanks, your right it does need .NET Framework 2.0 or later to work , so click here to get the 32-bit version, and click here for the 64-bit version, sorry about that, knew i forgot something! Additional notice - you don't need to download the .NET Frameworks if you are running Windows Vista or greater!
  19. Please note: Downloads for Post-RTM updates for Windows 7 are now gone, and i've discontinued support for this version! If you wish to keep on getting updates for Windows 7, i'd recommend you upgrade to SP1.
  20. No problem, though I have sent you a pm, but any other newbies out there that are not sure, click on links below to find out how to use this program:- Windows Update Downloader Website Click Here Download WUD Click Here You will find all the info you need here to be able to use the program, hope this helps!
  21. I have decided to stop making update lists for Vista SP2 and do just Windows 7 RTM UL's now, if you would an up-to-date Vista UL head over here to download jcarle's Vista UL's for both SP1 and SP2!
