That's why we are here. If you got any problem, just ask. Nobodys perfect, but we can help eachother out, right?

Completely remove floppy, possible?
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Yeah, i don't even have a floppy and it shows up in Windows, but not any more! I fixed it using BIOS and it works. Thanks again! -
Hi All! I red a thread on this forum that had exactly the same question as my thread, but it didn't get any answer too this particular subject. What I want is to remove explorer completely so that it's not installed with windows. I'll replace it with Blackbox and TrackerV3. Is it possible? Thanks in advance! Marthax

Removing Recent docs in Classic Start-Menu
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
My bad, what a stupid mistake . Thanks guys! -
Try running Sisoft Sandra and see what it shows. You need more information about the existing RAM you have to buy the right type with the same speed. What speed is your RAM running with? What Mobo do you have? Answer those two questions and I'm sure we'll be able to help you.

but isnt that ePower, new? Fritz said that "there's a new kid in town" and that must mean its new right? i compared it with the Antec TruePower SP-500, and the Tagan is pretty close. What I was talking about is it that you are trying to get a little cheaper this, a little cheaper that so that you can afford everything and get your computer working. This is what you shouldn't do. It's easy, you get what you pay for. It's better to buy a good PSU like the Tagan that you are talking about and then buy a good RAM, not the one that you are planning on buying right know. Buy RAMs that are made buy high quality known brands like Kingston, Crucial & Corsair. They provide high quality RAMs at very reasonable prices. I bought myself a pair Crucial HyperX PC3200 512MB RAMs for 100.99£. I don't know about you, but I say that's a very nice deal.

Greetings! I've looked at two topics regarding floppy disk, but both of these topics show how to disable the floppy disk. What I would like to do is to remove it completely from My computer, shell extension etc meaning that you cannot select it at all or somehow work with it. Is it possible? Thanks in advance! Marthax

What you need a finish version of .Net framework for? If you're concerned about the installation then don't be, because it's completely switchless and silent. Go and visit hope it helps, Marthax

Wierd viewing folder content problem
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I noticed that when I slipstreamed the driverpacks into my my I386 that previously had this error, the error suddenly disappears and it works fine. -
Oh, I'm sorry MHz . I'm learning the backup process of Outlook Express so this was a new thing for me. Didn't know that the *.dbx files are the ones that store the emails, but now I know. I'll do it as soon as I can. Thanks a lot for clearing that out for me

Removing Recent docs in Classic Start-Menu
Marthax posted a topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Hi all! So, does anyone know how to do it? I've tried using this registry tweak [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] ;"NoRecentDocsMenu"=dword:00000001 but that will remove the recent documents in the new start menu. It doesn't work for the classic one. What do I do to remove it in the Classic Start Menu? Thanks in advance! Marthax -
Ok, then I just gotta figure out a way to backup all emails and to restore them. That Autobackup programs seems to be able to do the job, but it also copies profiles settings at the same time which means that if I used that program and this AutoIT script that you have provided me MHz, it would do the same thing twice. I'll probably just create a AutoIT script that backups all emails.

Will it backup adress books, mails & profile settings? And I assume that all files will be placed in the same folder as this script.

I found this on a site guys. Although, I don't know how to automate group policy stuff, here's how to disable the restart. * In the Start Menu go to Run type “gpedit.msc” and press Enter * Now a Group Policy editor will open. In this window navigate to: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Template -> Windows Components -> Windows Update * Double click on No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Updates installations * In the settings window Choose Enabled and click OK * Close Group Policy Editor Hope it helps! Regards, Marthax

@BombaTwist: Why not wait a bit more and get some more money? It's better to wait and buy high quality things than to rush into something you're gonna regret later. I know, trust me

Thanks man, I'll try it out soon.

Running UA Settings before Format
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Ok, Thanks EDIT: One thing though, this will boot of the cd right? If I run this procedure I want to call and then format with my UACD, where will these procedure settings be saved? -
Thanks you guys for posting. For starters, I'll try the thing that MAVERICKS CHOICE wrote as it seems very interesting. Could you point in the right direction to find this "latest release" MAVERICKS CHOICE? Where exactly is this "right" folder?

Running UA Settings before Format
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
No, I mean like to be able to do the user interaction in Windows and then somehow, to save this information for use later on. Is it possible? -
Greetings all! After formatting my computer with my UACD I've been continuing to work with my UACD to fix some small errors and also to make one for some of my friends. Anyway, I noticed by mistake that when I try to open the "original" I386 folder from the usual WinXP SP2 CD, the folder stops responding. If I do the same thing on my modified folder, it works fine. I compared the sizes of these two folders and noticed that there's a approx. 200 MB difference. It also contains a lot less files then the original one because I've nLited it. Do any of you guys know how to fix this problem? It has to do with a setting that I applied either with nLite or with a reg tweak. The problem is that I don't know which one. I could post my entire Registry tweak file here, but it's quite big and I wanna spare you guys the missery of reading it. Any ideas? Cheers, Marthax

Hiding the language bar from the desktop
Marthax replied to LispWarez's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ;----- Removes Language Bar ;----- [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{540D8A8B-1C3F-4E32-8132-530F6A502090}] @=- "MenuTextPUI"=- That should do it. -
Hi Everyone! I've been thinking about changing my RunOnceEx to make it flexible, which means that you can choose what you want to install, like WPI or Xplode. The thing I want to do is to make it ask for your selection of programs to install first, and then do the install. This way, it's completely unattended and doesn't require any User Interaction. Is it possible to achieve this in some way? I thought about make a program that asks for which programs to install, then creates a RunOnceEx.cmd with your selections and puts it on a 3,5 Floppy, but I'd rather like to avoid Floppy disks. Does anyone know how to do this using some other method? Thanks in advance! Marthax
