techguy and Drew have some good points...Change it into a test machine for Betas and stuff like that...Or install Windows OR Linux on it and use it as a router, or just install Linux to make it a firewall...

Not the drive letters! I know how to change drive letters... I mean the actual name: I want to change 'CD Drive' to some other name, not 'D:' to 'X:' or whatever...

When I first joined MSFN, one of my first questions was why I was losing disk space...Then I disabled system restore, and it did the trick ! To disable it, do the following: Right-Click on 'My Computer' Go to the 'System Restore' Tab Check the 'Turn off System Restore on all drives' box Click 'Apply' Uncheck the same box Click 'OK' What you just did was disable system restore and enable it again...

Is there a way to rename your CD drive? I don't mean renaming a CD, just the drive itself...

IE is probably the only browser MOST people use... Whenever I see a Windows machine with Netscape on it, I tell the person that has it to get rid of it!
