And WAIK cand make me an image with my modifyed files?? vLite doesn't do the trik... can create an image of Win7 with vlite.

Greetings all of you who maybe teach me something in this matter. First of all, excuse my bad english, as u see on my avatar, i'm from Romania. My problem is: i want to set default theme, a custom one, other but the "aero". I changed a lots of files in bouth install.wim and boot.wim images (mounted), but i dont know how can i set my preffered theme as default. In WinXP it was a command line in winnt.sif, kind of: "[shell] CustomDefaultThemeFile = "%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\themename.theme". But here, in Win7, all of that is changed, i had to start all over again to learn how to customize this OS. And other thing: (not tested yet) Can i transform Win7 files into a bootable image with vLite? Or can i do it with another program? Waiting for your answers guys. Thank you very much for your time and knowledge. L.E. It seems vlite don't work with Win7... at the end it give's me an error. So... what should i do? I can't make an image with my modifyed files.... It is a S.P.3. Student edition. It is a difference between sp2 and sp3 in that boot sequence? I solved a long time ago winntbbu. I dont know witch file i have to edit. Anyway thanks for the hint. Hi there, i need help from those who are much experimented than me. I want to edit a text from first instalation window. I want to change that Windows word in to something else. Can anyone help me with that?? There is a topic about changing text from SMSS.exe, but my Windows text isn't there. I suppose is another file to edit. It's enough for me just to know what file to edit.

I have the same problem with Vista sidebar, i want to make an addon to integrate it in a windows kit. I tryed with nLite addon maker, but it didnt work. Any sugestions guys??

Belive me, I allready tryed that but nothing is happened. It's true, there is an option in the VTP wich allowes you to inegrate the program in a setup files, but, i don't know why, it doesn't work. My only option now, is to install vtp, and extract shell32.dll for use in a installation files... Is kind of sucks.... there is a lot of nice thinks in that program to use.... Anyway, if anybody can make me another sugestion, i'll apreciate. Thanks.

Use search and you will find links to custom made shell32.dll. Or (it's not my ideea, i just quote), install Vista Transformation Pack on another comp, or virtual machine and copy it from there, that shell32.dll, or from any shell pack you find. I hope is usefull. Cheers!

Thanks for the tip..... in the end I manage to do it, but... now i have another.... question... I want to make a cab with Vista Transformation Pack, it's also freeware, but enything i try to make as "silent code" (-y /q /r:n; /S /V/QN; and the list is long), it does't work . Where I can find a terminology about this terminations or codes... whatever is the correct terms.

Hi there. I have a question, if you can help me. I want to make an addon with a language pack. It has .msi extension and I don't know what command is for silent install. I tried allmost everything on that list. When i test that addon on a windows kit... it gives me an error about sintaxes or something... It make's me crazy! Wich is the right command for a silent install of a .msi file? I tried the command /qn, /S /V/QN, /quiet and some other.... Please help me. Thanks!

Hi there, i have a major problem and i hope you will enlight me. I try many times to change the background image on the installing section of a win. xp. I allready slipstream it, but i want to change the boot screen and that ugly blue background used at the time windows is installing. I read the topic about that, but i still receive that report about winntbbu.dll "File was not copied correctly". I did what it says there. Where i do whrong? "The file should be saved as WINNTBBU.DLL in your I386 directory"... I will tell you what i did, and you will correct me, ok? I copyed the winntbbu.dll from i386 folder to a temp folder on my desktop. With ResEdit i open winntbbu.dll from temp directory. I do the modification step by step as it says on the topic.. all the way. I copyed bouth files on the I386 and create an image. As it installs my windows give me that error as i sayd. I'm from Romania, is possible to missunderstud me. Please I really want to make these changes on my windows.
