  1. To make sure it is truly portable, you would have to take a reg shot. If there are any changes, then it isnt portable. In some cases, if you are running programs (MSN/Xfire/Steam), there will be reg changes.
  2. There aren't any other programs like that because vmware patented it, if you want to snap your registry, you can use regshot. And I can get nero+express into a 13Mb package.
  3. With dreamline's version of the nero 9, you would have to have thinapp (yes that means buy a program to make a program), and I don't think anyone would like to do that. I have the basic plans out for my app and I'm just working on the coding. Still need to think of what kind of installer I will use.
  4. Ok, I need to think how I can do this. It should be very simple. If I have time.
  5. Slim includes - Nero BurningROM - Nero Express - Nero Cover Designer - Nero ToolKit (DiscSpeed, DriveSpeed, InfoTool, BurnRights); - Nero WaveEditor Micro Includes - Nero BurningROM - Nero Express But I don't really want to mess with nero's eula www.nero.com/enu/copyright.html Any reproduction or redistribution of the Software not in accordance with the License Agreement is expressly prohibited by law, and may result in severe civil and criminal penalties. Violators will be prosecuted to the maximum extent possible. So I think I will just make a custom installer (download Nero, install, extract files to specific directory, click build, compiles into installer). Would anyone like that? -- Thinapp is kind of cheating, it does all the work for you and it wont really be an actual installer.
  6. Thinstall merges everything into one exe, no install, so if you want that, go ahead. I will have to think of a way to do this (stated at post #8), it wont be to hard, but it may be. Tell me if you want me to make a slim/micro version and host it off site.
  7. Well there could be, I could make a program to make you a stripped down (install nero 9, then do a regshot, export registry, make installer...) Or I could host my Very slim nero 9 on another site like the nero 8 slim/micro. Woo 300 posts.
  8. You can use Iconoid. http://www.sillysot.com/
  9. I would have to say Win7, its been very nice so far. But a previous OS would be 95.
  10. Same as Shahed. Since I got v4, its been really good. much better then v3 (in my opinion). The GUI looks much better and the scans are much faster as well.
  11. Thank you for the update cybpsych. As i said before I haven't looked at this for a while, but I will in the next few days if I have time.
  12. ATR - This Calling
  13. No this does not work with 8.
  14. The number 1 is an error, it means that there is another antivirus installed on the machine (when you start the setup, it tells you if there will be any conflicts) That is the error. Run the setup without any switches, then remove the antivirus/whatever is in conflict with the install.
  15. I was afraid of that. 667 clock is really crappy, I don't know how anyone can live with it. From the two links you posted, I would just go with the PNY, you would save $10, and if you went with the Kingston, you wouldn't see a difference (except $10 less dollars in your wallet). But if I were you, I would get a new MoBo, something that can handle some good RAM. You would see a huge difference in speed.
  16. Next Crysis Call of Duty MW2 Bioshock 2 HL2 Episode 3 Serious Sam 3 Section 8
  17. Well you could get a 9800GT or a GTX260. I would go with the 260. Much better then the 8900 and 3850.
  18. Well how much would you want to spend on a videocard? There are lots of cards out there that will out benchmark the 3850.
  19. I wouldn't go with 667 timings, its pretty slow (although if you add 800 or 1066, it will just go down to 667). My suggestion is to look at this page Here. Instead of going with 667, go with 4GB (just 4GB) of 1066. You will have better speed over 6GB of 667. It is also very cheap.
  20. I had the same problem, its the new 185 driver, it slows everything down a bunch. I just went back to 181 and all was good. 181, but the only bad thing is the Ambient Occlusion is missing form the 181 driver (and performance for some games stated in the 185 driver).
  21. Well I haven't looked at this for a while. But I still have the files. Ill look when I get home as I might know what the problem is. And thank you DMD61 for the error messages, Ill see what I can do.
  22. You can use Vlite to integrate SP1 into the install WIM.
  23. I got it a while back, great games. Portal is fun but short (3 hours max to finish).
  24. Mara did not abandon the project, it got deleted because the EULA says not to redistribute there files. That is why Nero 7/8/9 threads got locked.
  25. You probably removed almost everything, I'm trying to keep functionality here. Can you burn audio CD from every file? Does everything works in your Nero properly? Cheers Yes it can burn audio CD's of every kind and it is fully functional.
