Can you rephrase your question? How long does it time out for? Where are you? Home or work? Is there a firewall? What type of hardware are you using? Cable? DSL?

I checked the file and print sharing like you suggested. The properties option wasn't available. As you see, properties isn't available So I clicked on Install.. I'm exactly sure of my steps from here...

I am trying to share folders on my Windows XP machine. I have simple file sharing enabled. And when I go to a folder to share, and I select Sharing and Security, the entire page is grayed out. Is there a registry, Service, or some kind of setting I may have disabled?
