Hi guys! I have a customer that uses Windows Live Mail.... He is like many of my customers limited in his experience of how to do things, so I showed him how to select email for deletion and then click on the remove button....this is easy for him to remember and has worked well....up and till recently... If he selects 1 email for removal and click on "Delete" it is not just removing 1 - but two three or more at the same time even if only one is selected....? Has anyone experienced something similar and has a solution? bookie32

Now you are starting to show your age....;)

Have been noticing this from Nvidia....bloody shame they are going down the same road as Microsoft....
-
Nice...

Very well said...I totally agree...maybe it was just that we were toooooooooooooooooo trusting...? bookie32

Thanks for the update ☺ bookie32

Yes the 525 one seems to be popular....still a lot of money...
-
I like to play a lot in my free time...Photoshop...Illustrator...Dreamweaver etc...You can imagine cloud for most of what is in CS6...here in Sweden the most popular agreement costs 525 kronor a month just over 53 euros....bloody expensive I think...the dearest on with access to all programs is 825 kronor around 83 euros a month....bloody rip off!! As you say CS6 was expensive but I don't need all the updates, so I save money.... bookie32

Hi My1! I totally agree with you that many don't use it all the time and it is convenient....having both has been discussed but they are not interested... I still use CS6 and have no intention of bowing down to that change yet... Another thing is with a rental agreement you feel that you need to use the product to get your money's worth and that isn't good either... In the long term most accept the cloud version but ends up costing them a lot more in the long term... It is OK if you need to be on the cutting edge all the time and can really utilise those new features etc... bookie32
-
Let us be fair...and I don't like being fair to Microsoft....gives me the shudders.... Cloud is another way of making us pay out lots of money that we don't want to.... Rental agreements are all the big boys are interested in now and how they come to the decision to do that....well....piracy of their products has a lot to do with it....but they just don't get it....If people want to pirate program software...cloud isn't going to stop them... They are not alone and Adobe is right there with them milking it for all they can.... I liked the fact I could go out and buy my Adobe products like CS6 and that has been taken away from us now.... bookie32

Ok! Tripredacus is right that there are no computers manufactured with Windows 7 ....but many manufacturers decided to downgrade their computers to Windows 7 and offer either Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 as an extra... OK COURSE...we all know that this can't last now with the newer Skylake processors supposedly not supporting Windows 7 but do but that will definitely stop with the next generation which makes it impossible for manufacturers to downgrade to Windows 7 to keep sales.... So, at the moment we can buy many computers with Windows 7 Professional pre-installed but that isn't going to last... Microsoft will not accept that Windows 10 is crap and are tossers!! We all know that getting a good processor now and keeping Windows 7 as long as possible isn't real problem yet.... Windows 7 Professional OEM licenses are still on sale, so we can buy them as well.... It would seem that even though sales are not what they were expecting....they can't and wont back down now and we are just small fry (customers/users) and we don't really matter in their scheme of things...... I hate Microsoft...(harsh word hate) and everything they stand for... bookie32

Not here in Sweden...
-
Sorry, but that is where you are wrong....the sales of Windows 10 have been so bad that many new computers from my supplier come with Windows 7 Pro pre-installed with the option to upgrade to either Windows 8.1 Pro or Windows 10 Pro... It is certain manufactures that have boycotted Windows 10 giving customers that chance to ignore Windows 10 for the time being... bookie32

This all sounds good but....firstly they need to go out to the very badly treated public with a press release apologising for Windows 10, apologising for conning millions into a recommended update that left them with a pile of crap on their computers against their will, apologising for making it near impossible to maintain older versions and keep the update working, apologising for dictating what OS we are going to use.....sorry, but the list is long and I keep repeating myself. A company can not be taken seriously that adopts the tactics for pushing Windows 10 on millions of unsuspecting users... Changing the subject...it is like the whole planet having to deal with America's terrorist activity across our beautiful planet, having to put up with America telling the rest of the world what a democracy is....!!! Having to put up with the fact it is down to two id*** and one of them is going to be at the helm of the most powerful nation in the world.....I think the world has enough to deal with Trump or Clinton? This is a sad day for the world!! And at this moment I don't care if I am banned from MSFN because of what I have written....The Americans are all about free speech...but haven't got a clue what that really means. As long as America has a country run by puppets with lots of money the rest of us will suffer... Getting off my soap box for a moment.... bookie32

This means that they are going to extend support for Windows 7.... bookie32

Sorry, I had missed this....haven't laughed so much since Windows 10 was released Absolutely first class insight...I am impressed and there was me thinking Microsoft is a bunch of cretins....now I know better... Thanks for putting me right JorgeA bookie32

I didn't need another argument for switching....but that is a nice one....;) Windows 10 will never be installed on any of my computers and I have several.... Yet another example of Microsoft cutting off their nose to spite their face....It would be nicest present an old git like me could see...Microsoft gone bankrupt because of stupidity... It wont be the first time major companies have taken the wrong turns and ended up dead in the water.... I know....I am dreaming out loud...;) bookie32

Thanks a lot for the info...I will take a look and if they have language support for Swedish - then it would be something I can recommend to my customers as an alternative! bookie32

Many of my customers experience problems with 365....but if you think about it in terms of you pay a monthly/yearly subscription for 365 then it isn't so strange that other office products don't work....another typical example is telling users that have Microsoft email accounts they can't continue using Windows Live Mail unless they have Windows 10....everything they do is centred around this crap or the fact that we should have subscriptions for their products!! More and more of my older customers (pensioners) are going over to open source products for office such as Libre, Open Office and using Mozilla Thunderbird as their email client if they have Outlook, Hotmail etc instead of being bullied into upgrading to Windows 10.
-
This is typical of Microsoft nowadays.... What Office versions work on Windows 10....here they give that info But in this link you get the known issues with Office Versions on Windows 10.... It either works or doesn't work... The question is never answered in a way you can believe anything...
-
What I want to know is when Microsoft are going to remove this crap off the market....daily I am getting computers with Windows 10 and problems that have upgraded to windows 10...even new ones that come with Windows 10....it is crap and doesn't work... God I am fed up with this rubbish... Sorry, just needed to let off steam!! bookie32
-
Even if they fix all the problems... They will never redeem themselves with this version of Windows OS or probably any others in the future.... Unless....everyone forgets all the underhand ways they have tried to force this crap on us...!!! How are we supposed to respect a company that doesn't respect its users? bookie32

Hi HarryTri! You have got a good point there.... bookie32

Just built a new games rig with a customer's son... Decided to program it today and straight away I was annoyed at the way the installation went.... List of components....I'm jealous... NZXT Noctis 450 (looks like a starwars storm trouper) Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Intel Core i7 6700K 4.0 GHz Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666MHz 16GB MSI Gaming X Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Corsair Rmx 750watt 80 Plus gold Samsung 950 Pro 256 M.2 SSD Seagate Desktop 3 TB Noctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler Samsung 27 inch Curved screen Windows 10 Home Sorry, getting to to the point...tried to set up the samsung 950 pro for the main drive and the 3TB one as secondary drive....every time I chose to put a partition on the secondary drive it wanted to put start functions for windows on it?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had already set up the samsung 950 pro... So, I continued with the installation without setting up the secondary drive... What gives? bookie32
