Well, this thread and similar like it have really opened my eyes.....even if I need glasses nowadays... I think we can all agree that something is seriously wrong in the Microsoft camp.... I don't like the idea of Microsoft taking care of any data at all....Yes, I understand that is hard to avoid....just have no respect for them as a company any more... bookie32

Hi fysics! Thanks for the info bookie32

Trying to get this over to my customers is not easy...."I can tweak your version of Windows and make it more easy to manage...but can't guarantee anything because Microsoft in its infinite wisdom likes releasing updates that **** up all your hard work and you're back to where you started"... Not exactly something that will inspire confidence in customers bookie32

Thanks jaclaz.... My thoughts and sentiments exactly.... The basic Windows 10 upgrade killed off thousands of computers....and now the creators update is no ****** better...!!!! Microsoft have released the worst ever OS and it is utter crap!! bookie32

Well, a little update on this... I always am quite clear about telling my customers that have a computer upgraded from a previous version of Windows to Windows 10...without the support of the manufacture...that this will only get worse as time goes by because Windows replaces drivers with those it thinks you should have just like all the so called software that people tend to try that basically ***** up your computer... The above customer came to me again with the creators update stuck on download and problems getting it installed or downloading....does this sound familiar......he was also getting problems connecting to the Internet and his broadband supplier said it must be a Virus in the computer causing the issues because they were'nt experiencing problems from their side..... I have had loads of problems with the different broadband suppliers here in Sweden....if I don't find any problems in the computer with virus/malware etc or that while the computer is on test in my workshop the network connection never misses a beat...then most often it is the broadband suppliers router or other mechanical problems...and when I ring from the customers to the broadband supplier I get someone with either a competence level of 1-5 (my grading) 1 being someone that is good at his job and can see the problem.... or 5 just a plain so called support id***.... Of course it is the customer that gets the raw end of the deal trying to get money out of a supplier for my time... Anyway...rambling on here...the broadband supplier support person had mentioned Virus but hadn't asked what version of Windows was installed...or whether it was an upgrade from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 without support from the manufacturer...but you can't expect them to ask all the right questions especially with the level of competence the guy or girl my customer had on the line when ringing for help The customer came to me and I found no Virus or Malware in the computer that would be causing any problems with the Internet....that is if we don't assume that Windows 10 is a Virus All computers that have been in my workshop have a network profile for my router and the computer connected without problems and installed the creator's update without any problems....that I noticed while on test..... I checked the network and removed the old profiles and everything seemed OK.....BUT not forgetting my warning to the customer about Windows 10....I even said about the problems with the creators update...... Well, the customer went home and everything seemed OK...but then the computer started to go slower and then freeze without mouse or keyboard working....even the external one.... From reading numerous threads about the Creator's Edition causing such problems....I reminded my customer about the warning I gave before I first looked at the computer the first time....now he is coming on Monday and is going to decide whether to scrap the computer or I reset it to Windows 7!! So, the moral of this long story is .....I will keep to my comments written before about fixing Windows 10 crap on computers not supported by the manufacturer....it saves my customers a lot of money if I just reset the computer and forget the Windows 10 crap!! God, I hate Windows 10!!! bookie32

A finished version of Windows 10 would possibly be a version that actually works....

I agree with you hundred procent....

OK let me try and make sense here....what I write on this forum is a long way from the service my customers actually get....If I have a penny/dollar/krona what ever currency you choose - for the lost time trying to solve customers problems then you will understand that I am being blunt here and not with my customers... My girlfriend will say out loud here that the hours I don't get paid for and my commital to my customers....not giving up on problems that have cost me hours that I wont get paid for - then I don't think out of the hundreds of customers I have ...there is more than two that will try to say I gave them a bad service...and those two ended up in court for non-payment of my bill.... and I will point out before anyone says anything...that I was actually in the right to take them to court.... I don't like to boast but....never give up on my customers regardless the problems and as far as Windows 10 goes it is a matter of ecconomics for my customers...do they want to pay to sort out a particular problem or the cheaper option and reset the computer.... This is why I say what I say....I need to try and make money but the truth is a problem has to be solved even if I lose sleep over it...that is what my customers get and nothing less. Sorry, If it looked like I was just being nasty.... bookie32

Hi jaclaz! Just new you would be around... As a professional, I don't take the position of refusing a customer help without good reason....been there got the T-shirt... When a customer comes with a computer upgraded from Windows 7 or 8.1 to Windows 10 and the manufacture doesn't support Windows 10 on their machines it usually means that things just go from bad to worse...Microsoft adds drivers that basically stop certain functions from working and even if I find a fix an update from Microsoft usually puts me right back where I started.... Customers have a hard time parting with their cash in the first place and for something that they have to repeatedly come to be fixed...they just don't want to pay and it has cost me more than I earn out of a job looking for a solution.... So, instead of wasting time trying to look for a solution to their problems - I do exactly as is recommended by all manufacturer's and that is ...recommend resetting the computer to the previous version which is supported on the hardware.... It is bad enough having to fix such problems on computers that so called support Windows 10....!!! So, as long as the id*** at Microsoft don't listen to their users - and keep dishing out this s***, then I will refuse to do repairs for hardware related issues that have been caused by Windows 10.... I am refusing because my customers don't basically want to pay for a fix that gets changed as soon as Microsoft release another update.... Hope that clears things up a bit bookie32

Just another nail in the coffin for Microsoft....I still get customers ringing to say they need help with their computers and they turn up and there and behold they have upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and several functions do not work properly.... I point blank refuse to try and fix these issues on computers that don't have support for Windows 10 from the manufacturer... One guy recently came with such a computer and had bought a separate keyboard for his laptop instead of asking himself why the laptop keyboard had stopped working....go figure... I use OneDrive just for forum stuff now....don't trust microsoft at all... This video on facebook from one of the computer store chains is about the so called Microsoft IT support ringing people and conning them...they still ring me and I just say **** *** now and they hang up... even though it is presented in Swedish ...listen to how they wind the scammers up....I even recognise the woman from this video...she has rung me twice...they never learn...

Hi guys! It is a d*** shame that Microsoft doesn't listen to the views of its users... I have seen some winging over the years regarding a number of different problems releated to all versions of Windows....and I have done my share - BUT I have never seen the amount of discontent as has been show for Windows 10. How can anyone sell this crap to their customers.... Newsflash! most of my customers still use Windows and Windows 10 is what is available for them...Will add Windows 7 Professional preinstalled on computers is still available but not that cheap now and it is not often my customers will pay a little extra for Windows 7... I just don't see a viable future with the latest version but Microsoft seem to have other ideas on the subject.... bookie32
-
Microsoft don't consider that Windows 10 is a problem....so they are not likely to care about any small thing like possible security problems... bookie32
-
Well I, for one, admire your determination....I gave up a long time ago after all the problems trying to fix things in this version of Windows. I just accept that Microsoft has lost the plot and carry on with Windows 7... bookie32

OK I will say it Trump....

Hi Guys Thought that we wern't going to mention the T word.... Anyway, the man is getting worse just like Windows 10 so it is a good comparison bookie32

Are you sure that you don't want to change the title of this theread to "Official - Windows 10 Worst Crap Ever" seems that it would be a fitting title now... I see more and more dejected users here trying to find something positive with Windows 10 BudwS I haven't Windows 10 but feel like I have dealing with this crap every day...! Xpcleint I haven't had false negatives with Malwarbytes yet regarding Windows 10...but some of the apps have caused problems... Noel I think you hit the nail on the head l...Microsoft just ends I keep plodding along helping my customers with this crap and it is sole destroying....can't feel good about the work I do any more... Windows 10 is clearly a mistake and it is about time Microsoft came clean and admitted that fact... bookie32

It is like I have said all along...biggest load of crap they have seen fit to release...!! bookie32

Is this something new...;) I don't think Microsoft give a s*** about their users at all....time to kick this company into touch... To think I actually had respect for this company....God you live and learn... bookie32

This I like....I agree every Joe Bodd would think of this...lol bookie

Hi jumper! Thank you for the info! bookie

Hi guys! When things go wrong and we need to back up files after a crash.... What is the best software or way to compair contents between directories with the same name? It is inevitable that you are going to back up different copies of directores from a drive to another location and then....end up with loads of back ups with similar or the same files in them... Just wonder what is the most efficient way of checking one directory against another? bookie

Hi guys....your interpretation of "Stable" isn't what I had in mind and to get this so called stability means you have to strip Windows 10 of almost everything.... Out of the box this is still a big pile of crap...and seems to be getting worse by the minute... bookie
-
Stable....now there is something to laugh at....that has made my day...stable my arse!! Explain why you think Windows 10 is stable....Even computers that are coming with Windows 10 are not exactly what you can call stable.... Sorry, no offense just don't see where this crap is stable!! I have had customers that have bought Windows 10 computers....things looked ok to them ....but then Microsoft releases one stupid bloody update after another that just stops things working... bookie

Hi TrevMUN Well, I can give my two penneth worth...lol As from a design aspect it was aimed at the telephone and ipad market....and even so it has been a disaster on that front.... Just because the first thing people seem to do is access the Internet via en ipad or telephone doesn't make it a logical example to build a new OS for.... I always get on my soap box about this....just look at our computers of today, the processors, memory, hard drives, monitors.....the technology is fantastic and keeps getting better and far as the development of hardware it isn't based on the crap that comes from Microsoft...it is still the games market... I have hundreds of customers and I wouldn't go as far to say 2% of them think the design and layout of Windows 10 is good or better than Windows 7.....I have installed Classic Shell in almost all Windows 10 computers because the majority of users hate the menu system...it is at best irritating!!!!!!!!!!!!! Windows 10 is still causing chaos in computers...just an example....customer had an update from Windows that she says was installed on the computer.... After that she couldn't get into the computer with her password....I activated the Administrator and went in that way to check the computer but it froze...I was forced to do a hard shutdown and after that it wouldn't start....the repair just kept on trying and I tried three or four different ways to recover the drive...nada This is a ssd 128GB so there is no "factory" recovery built into the computer....and I don't mean the crap recovery from Microsoft either.... I can actually reinstall it but then it is a standard installation and not her own recovery.... It is a holiday here tomorrow and I have to see if HP will do anything about this as it is on guarantee.... She has no recovery media and when I checked it was going to cost money...so it is up to HP on Tuesday.... 90 % of my customers never read the instructions that follow in the packaging about ordering a recovery media etc....a lot of them can get the recovery media free if they just read the info!! Windows 10 is crap and most of my time is spent fixing this s***....At the moment I couldn't give a crap about the so called nice design...just expect it to work under the hood...and it clearly doesn't ... I know there are threads here for tweaking Windows 10....in other words removing all the crap but normal everyday Joe Bloggs doesn't know how to do that and wants something that just works.... Getting off my soap box again.... bookie32

Hi guys! OK I should explain...just testing Windows 10...you know my feelings towards this pile of junk... I have installed all my software including Objectdock which hasn't direct support for Windows 10 but works and is OK... I have noticed that Objectdock has a problem with apps not using .exe.... Something that is annoying me and was mentioned on several versions of Windows 10 is that you can get background apps running by themselves even when turned off in security settings.... I have turned off all background running apps but my object dock is still detecting them as active....it is just like before the "settings" windows is active and when you shut that the "store" app is active.....very annoying this isn't hapening all the time but it is pointless shutting them because they open a while later again... This is obviously Microsft not being too honest about what is turned off and on even if we are given the opportunity to chose ourselves.... Where else do I need to turn of background apps like "services" and "store" and even "xbox" I have turned them off in Settings > Security and then background apps.... Thanks bookie32
