  1. lone crusader, The syntax is wrong in your RunOnceEx.cmd. On the lines with 'REG ADD ...' you should only have the '/f' switch at the end, the others are probably causing the command to fail and so the reg entry is not being added. The switches you have at the end (/Q /O /N /Z) look like the ones for MS hotfixes. Any silent switches you need for the app should go inside the last quote after the filename, ie something like this : REG ADD %KEY%\002 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\adobe123.exe <silent switches>" /f Check out the 'application switches' forum for the correct switches for each application. this page gives you some examples. If you remove the 'cmdow @ /HID' from the cmd file, and put pauses between the commands for testing you will probably see the errors. SP
  2. @nuhi: Congrats on, and thanks for, a great program . Works like a charm for me - press a button, get a coffee, done! @CBC: #1 : Yes, after shrinking this CD behaves just like a normal XP installation CD, except that it can only be used as a full install , booted from CD (the upgrade options are removed). The directory structure is not really 'different', just a lot of extra crap has been removed that is not needed. #2 : nLite just cuts down the size, no other changes are made, and this is only in the CD creation stage, so when you boot the CD in your computer it behaves just like a normal install - you have the usual options to create and delete partitions, choose install locations etc etc etc. As mentioned above, the upgrade options are generally not avaliable after shrinking, but for XP a full install is recomended over upgrade anyway . The CD can also be made unattended as usual. Virtual PC is a free download from microsoft by the way .. you get 45 days to test it before needing to register .. but once you get hooked on unattended, there is always 'one more improvement' you can make to your CD, so personally my windows install never lasts that long anyway More info Here on Virtual PC. 3. Your attached winnt.sif has the extension '.txt' on the end (winnt.sif.txt). If this is how it really is on your unattended CD then it wont work - windows install will not find it, it needs to end in '.sif'. Do you have the 'hide extensions for known file types' ticked in your folder settings? If this is ticked, then when you rename the original unattended.txt file, if will keep the txt extension, but look correct in the explorer listing. Check the file with this setting off, and if the extension is wrong change it. If however, you changed the extension to upload it here, just ignore me SP.
