No offence, but the way you seem to be doing it is pointless - there are soo many ways to get arond what your doing - for example typing a url in the address bar in the my documents folder? I suggest you find another way to do this or you are gonna be fixing loop holes forever. Chris.

Windows PE OSI is on hold at the moment while i finish my schooling (finishes at end of may) and theres been some stuff happening recently that i couldnt avoid (family stuff).. Hopefully i will start work on WPE-OSI again at the end of may when i have done my exams and have like 5 months free time until i goto collage! Chris.

Hi all. Over the past few weeks ive been looking into how i can get a whole OS to run a off a cd. I looked into windows PE, i played about with it and in the end i gave up, as its just too much of a task to get the stuff running that i would like. I then found windows xp embedded, and i found that it can be booted off a cd. has anyone managed to get windows xp embedded to run off a cd - the tutorial on msdn is confusing the hell out of me! http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us/xp....asp?frame=true If anyone has got anything or knows anything so we can try to get this running it would be really helpfull! Hi there! A little while ago i had a tweak (.reg file) that enabled themes on the information windows or the login window on server 2003! To cut the story short i've managed to loose it - does anyone have it or know how to do it? Cheers! Chris!

The transparancy is that Purple colour - can't remember the hex... It dont support alpha blending or anything though - use png for that Chris.

Add the vb runtimes to system32 - vb dll's cant be regsvr32'ed and they require extra files so add them and i bettcha it will work! Dont foget to add noinput.exe and noinput.dll back to system32 Ill post the link to the files (runtimes) in a sec. Chris

Try putting the .dll and the .exe in there own folder in the root of the cd! Means that the dll cant be registered so just do like i said above! Also if that dont work the program may need some other files or runtime files to make it work! Chris.

They dont have any extention - Just load the hive i told u to into HLKM using file>load hive like i said then follow the rest of the instructions! Chris.
