  1. Yeah, i would say its the firewalls. There really needs to be a patch made for 98 comps and XP and ME and 2000 ( ) so they can all be networked properly!!

DDR is double RAM, so yes, it will be faster.

Ok, i got a network on 2 comps, one XP and one 98. I have an Ethernet Netgear 5 port hub. They both run through my DSL connection. Connected to my comp (XP) is my laser printer (HP 1200). I think i have installed the printer correctly on the 98 comp, well i must have as when i print the print goes to my comp (as i see it in printer jobs for my laser) but it dont go any further. The only way to print it is to reboot my comp (XP). The printer works fine with this comp (XP), never had any problems. Please help me as i need this printer networked ASAP. Cheers.
  4. I was going to suggest the same thing, i had the same thing on my other comp, sound card was wdged between network card and graphics card :hohum So i had to change that and all was working fine again.
  5. Flash replied to BAH's topic in Windows XP
Yeah, you HAVE to have good decent memory, thats the key to OC.
  6. I have the card, but not that MB :spaced I havent changed my drivers, i think XP done it for me, forget now. Let XP take control, lol.
  7. I get that blue screen now and then, if i leave my comp on for alot with KaZaA. Yeah, sounds to me as a USB modem. Coulad also be the hardware, you got the minumin specs handy?
  8. Flash replied to BAH's topic in Windows XP
Hmmm, i can see that, lol. You could clock it at 2.4Ghz, add a good fan and a surrounding one, maybe attached to the inside of the tower. ONe thing that crossed me mind is that if the CPU decides to die, any damage done to the comp, HD etc?
  9. Flash replied to sedative's topic in Windows XP
Hmmm, also dont expect it to run like normal as you have the minimum spec of a processor there (450Mhz).
  10. Flash replied to sedative's topic in Windows XP
Well todays the day i got GTA 3 and i love it Works fine on my comp, no problems what so ever.
  11. I also have problems with this, sometimes it works, sometimes it dont... Weird... Try shutting off Firewall then sending or recieving, if you recieve its the firewall, turn it off (Dont like turning it off personally).
  12. Well obviously you want someone who is admin here and you trust which is correct. Maybe if you post the problem others like myself can help and we can get it all sorted...

:wail: Nooooo, my worst nightmare :spaced But luckily i have GeForce When you say memory, you mean RAM or the game within its structure?! What about chainging the drivers, should help...
  14. Bah, ok, well i have got lost :yeahyeah Sry guys for bothering you with this: I have the problem rebooting my comp. I go to the normal procedures, start -> Turn Off Comp -> Restart. It then just hangs which this is annoying because i play a game at tournament level and need to reboot to clear my net stuff that my DSL collects (packets) so i need it to be quick but i have to wait then it still hangs so i have to press the physical reboot button on my tower. Very annoying. If you could tell me how to fix this i would be very much appreciated Ty.
  15. Weeee, AMD ruling :spaced Me too will be upgrading to 2000+ Or faster very soon (Late summer) Gotta save up first, lol.
  16. Flash replied to sedative's topic in Windows XP
Never!! :spaced I'll stick with the GeForce guys, one thing that annoyed me though, got my GeForce 3 at Christmas then they brought out GeForce 4 3 months later, they could have told me!! :wail:
  17. Flash replied to sedative's topic in Windows XP
Well thats worrying to me... :nerves I dont like the sound of that at all. Me thinks i may have to get the patch :-)
  18. So far AMD ruling, come on you Pentium people, stick up for your processor
  19. Flash replied to sedative's topic in Windows XP

GTA 3... I have been waiting for this game on the PC for about 4 months, this game gonna kick a**!! I cant wait to get it, and if it dont run well on my GeForce 3 Ti200 i will kill it :blueteam <-- Literally Thought of changing your drivers for your GPU (Graphics card) to make GTA 3 work?
  22. I have XP and 98 SE on my 2 comps. I had the probs and im still waiting for a patch to fix some other things... My suggestion is that you reinstall the cards, simple but effective.
