Ok, i got a network on 2 comps, one XP and one 98. I have an Ethernet Netgear 5 port hub. They both run through my DSL connection. Connected to my comp (XP) is my laser printer (HP 1200). I think i have installed the printer correctly on the 98 comp, well i must have as when i print the print goes to my comp (as i see it in printer jobs for my laser) but it dont go any further. The only way to print it is to reboot my comp (XP). The printer works fine with this comp (XP), never had any problems. Please help me as i need this printer networked ASAP. Cheers.


Connect it any pc on yr network, install drivers on the pc its connected to then share it as a network printer and give it a shre name, make shure both pc's are part of the same workgroup.

Then on the secondary pc install as a network printer brouse your network till you find the shared printer then install the drivers...

Shouldn't be a problem.
