lol how far did u manage to push it b4 it its life expired?

the chip was a 1.9ghz clocked it at 2.5ghz, i dont think the fan was enough to keep it cool.....

Hmmm, i can see that, lol. You could clock it at 2.4Ghz, add a good fan and a surrounding one, maybe attached to the inside of the tower.

ONe thing that crossed me mind is that if the CPU decides to die, any damage done to the comp, HD etc?

sometimes you can find that the AGP bus and card die and the memory gives up..

Yeah, you HAVE to have good decent memory, thats the key to OC.
