hey i have windows server 2008 running and its have alot of stuff bulidin [Features and rules addons] even i dont use the orginal iso and vlite [around 1.1GB] those features and rules and still option to be right install the next vlite will have those things removed ? and save more space ?

u could use the unattained option to discard that possibility

use the original iso and lastest vlite [gonna be vlite 1.1 rc soon so wait a bit]

Deleting versions from the image won't save size, it just removes the allocation for the specific image preset which is represented as a Windows version, they all basically use the same files. well i think i tired that on windows server 2008 and get different

yes fmo the ultimate edition have all the files when u use imagex /export to add more edition like home or enterprise its will take less then few seconds cuz all the files already in the WIM file so if the ultimate getting langs removed its take less space after export all other edition wont add files cuz ultimate already have it all

i notice that webserver have indexing service [enterprise and the rest is dont have it] but its miss "Quality Windows Audio Video Experience" then cant enable there aero i hope its helpful for u

hey i notice that option could save half time and half space [in windows dir down to 650MB] but is it worth it ? did anyone use that option and got problam of lossing files and make the OS unstable ?
