  1. This is already explained here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=16562
  2. A compact nice guide, prathapml. I've just thought that my first post might look like a stiff one.
  3. Thank you crahak for confirmation. Reg tweaks I added are just the main ones. I can update the first post if any one likes to add some. EDIT: Yes, you're right, crahak. I removed that reg key.
  4. I'm interested in the cause of the problem.
  5. @koon3564 As long as you're connected to the Internet, you'd get your computer infected (not a good expression, though) with adwares. As for me, upgrading to XPSP2 plus having Ad-Adware are both quite enough. However, NAV is an AntiVirus application.
  6. I think the path is missing.
  7. @Alpheratz13 That was answered before. I recall I read this solution: Replace é in Démarrer with ?.
  8. This is not a joke. But if you want a joke, here you are! AntiVirus software, other than Symantec's, are exactly similar to ice-creams. Yet, they haven't got REAL elephants to fight. ENJOY!! EDIT: OH! I forgot to say what Mr Brown did: Mr Brown: WWWAATTT???

    trial softwares

@raza Before installing a trial app, make sure you've got enough time dedicated to testing ALL functions of it. Otherwise, a trial period would pass with no use and you'd look for a method on how to extend the trial period. This is allowed on some forums, but not on MSFN.
  10. Try this: psp6b3.exe /S /V"/QN LAUNCHREADME=0"
  11. You can add these to your command line: SCAN=0 UPDATE=0 ICON=0 Hope it works for you.
  12. The best place to use Deep Freeze is a Cyber Cafe. In such places, a restart is quite enough to retrieve the original state of a PC. No worries about users being beginners or even destructive. But if your computer is a production machine, I don't suggest the use of Deep Freeze on it. You might say that you'd leave a particular drive unfrozen to keep your work or downloads on. That's what I did, really. By the time, I started to forget the limitations. I saved some of my work and some of my downloads in a location that I thought it was more relevant! Simply, that relevant location was not on the unfrozen drive. Surely, you can imagine the rest of the story. What I said is just my own experience. You may be luckier!
  13. I think you should provide the path like this: wshShell.Run (".....path.....here.....\tweakui.exe")
  14. ACDSee.reg was updated in the first post. Also, a path to MSI was added. Oh, and Alanoll's suggestion for MSI path works, too.
  15. Adobe Audition 1.5 is an MSI, too. Look in your %TEMP% after running the EXE.
  16. hmm.. I was going to redirect you there.
  17. This is not necessarily true. I hear about AIDS but I don't have it. B)
  18. This is how I install ACDSee 7 PowerPack - Full Version. This version installs for all users by default. And it doesn't reboot a PC. You can pick the MSI up from here: C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations\{2C002EC4-2787-41B3-A882-EE992406C096}\ACDSee 7.0 PowerPack.msi It won't be gone even if you reboot your PC. If you want to delete the shortcut folder in Start menu, add this line: RD /S /Q "%AllUsersProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\ACD Systems" If you want to exclude some features of ACDSee, read my 7th post below. This is what you should see after installation (Help --> myACD):
  19. Good eye! Add to your collection: %homedrive% is definitely C: drive regardless it's being your system drive or not. Just type it in Run box and see.
  20. Next time I set up my PC, I'll be awake so I can see that for you.
  21. I slipstreamed the MSP update into the main MSI. It installed and ran fine.
  22. Then, I was fooled by those undeletable files?! So, TEMP stayed there. Thanks for clarification.
