but none of my Adapters are Intel Chips .... so i dont know .... does any one know the parameters than will need to be used for this option

Hello, is there any way i can get my Wireless Devices to Connect to the Wireless Network before Logon,

Because i am running a Domain which is totally wireless.

I Have a Phillips SNU5600 USB Wi-Fi Device in the Client machine 1

And i have a Realtek USB Wireless Adaprter built into my Laptop. which again is a Clienty

The Server has a SiteCOme WL-171 I belive, but thats not a problem its just the 2 client machines,

Is there a service i need to start to get it to connect before logon

Windows Zero Config is running of course, but when i log off the machines i can see the wireless network disconecting.

Please Help

This will solve many problems,

save me my hair, because i will be ripping it out, and also alot of money

When i was in Secondary School, i was in the same possition, so i socialised with the admin, helped out when ever was possible, told him security holes in the network, and what can be done to solve it etc. and he was appreciatice of that, and granted me a power user access to start off, and before i knew it i had Full Admin Rights, Network, System and Domain Admin right

So i found if you help, and stick with it, you will get it in the end.

i have a DFI Lnaparty Board and that has 2 NICs on the board,

one is for LAN Access, and One if aimed at WAN Access, so ive been told. But as im running a server, i also have another 1Gb/s PCI NIC Card.

And i use theses for Network Load Balance

in college we have PS7, mainly for the activation reason, and obviously the cost difference, considering we have like 3500 Computers, and 2800 of them need PS, ok they do have a Volume Licence Agreement, but not to cover them all. And Certain Machines will have PS CS2, which is sooo much better, everyone is more production with it, its less time consuming.

i should probably add that, when i made the Server in VMWare, i also made a Virtual Machine for XP, and that works on the Domain Fine, and RIS works

Hey Guys, no luck, but what i did find is that the Domain works Wirelessly on VMWare, which isnt a problem at the moment

BUT, none of the computers can connect to it, they find the Domain, become part of it, but then, when i restart, and go to logon it says that the PERSONALTEST Domain is not avaliable, is this because of the WiFi Cards, not automatically Conecting to the Network, before logon,

if not how can i make them connect

yea, Dhoom is right, well so we found, he had a Glitch on his XP CD, so when trying another one, of the Same OS, Same Version etc, It worked

i was only going to use multi boot, to save having to backing up all my data from XP, but i got to format the Drive now any way lol

I tried it, its now time to make it wireless

can i just use a second like 'test' router, and bring that into the Server room? if that works, just like it to the Wireless one

because i have 2 idintical Routers, apart from Mac address of course

dude, you seen the size of the Server lol,

but i will link up the Server wired and also a laptop wired, disabling the wifi Chips on both, then make sure it works

if it works, move them back, enable the Wi fi and it will (should) work

No offence taken, i can do it using Server 2000, but for some strange reason, 2K3 just wont do it. it has worked fine in the past. but, not again.

I wil have a look at the links, yea, it is the Only DC, but isit a problem, that EVERYTHING is wireless, i cant really work around to have a Wired connection ... isit worth my Multi booting my PC, so if Server fails, i can just go back to XP?

well i cant link my DC Wired, they all HAVE to be Wireless, thats the problem

because of the distace between the Router and the DC.

My Router Supports DHCP, Firewall, all that.

but how would i tell the DC to actually know that it needs to associate with the Router

I couldnt even make a Wired DC, let alone a wireless, but its soo much easier, to get the jobs done.

yea ive taken all the exams and passed first time, which is good, and i have got alot of experince, but i went for a Admin job,

before i decided to join college, and i had like way more certs than this guy did, and more experice, but becasue her was 32, he had the job.

Which is a little unfair, as he was new to all this, but as i was 17, its like, 'why bother, its not as if he can handle 4000 Computer', when not being funny, its not exactly hard.

and ive got my network+

i dont know what im going to do, im upgrading my PC in the newxt few days, so im going to see how it runs with mroe performnace parts, and if its still hot, then i might invest into water cooling, but as someone has already told me that they screwed their pc due to water cooling it does make me more nervous lol .

So i dont know ..

i seen the links you guys have posted and they all look really cool, and the air cooling ones, and not that much in price either.

So i was pleased with that,

well yea the back of my case hold ONE fan, but i got a total of 6 8CM Fans in the system all to together, and i dont like coolermaster,

one yes they are ugly, and 2, when in the past i have used them, they have been made of steel, which isnt exactly the best way to extract heat through the case lol So i liked the massive Thermaltake case, it has the support to hold 2 Motherboards lol, i have forgoten its name,

and that is about £150 for the case,

but that will help hair flow.

i do want watercooling, but to be honest im scared, and its alot of money to lose if something goes wrong
