  1. Thanks for your Reply

well ive used NLite, but again im getting errors,

because ive got a 500Gb IDE Internal and 500Gb USB IDE External,

and i CANNOT lose the data off the external Drive

it is sooo important lol :P

So can i just add say 2 lines of text to the actual winnt.sif

if so can you you please post it in here :D

    Thanks alot

    Ethan.

  2. Search Microsoft.com or their MSDN Site, because you can get Evaluation copies of software, but you are already running Windows XP, so the problem will still occur, or you may have a glitch on your Disc, so just search microsoft and the Net, google it, you will get some result back :)

but i know you will get some results. because i used to have a MSDN Subscription, and being a MCP you get giving all the trial editions of their software.

  4. Hi, and thanks.

    no its not that,

    ill give you an example

Say you go and buy a new computer.

and its all installed for you, and at the end where xp asks for a user name of all the user, if you would like to regiter with Microsoft etc etc

When it plays that music in the background

I want to know how to add custom pages to it, because i bought a new Acer Laptop, and all thouse screens were different.

Thansk for the Quick Reply, hope u understand my problem better :D

  5. What do u mean the RAM types are different, aslong as its the same type (SDRAM, DDR, DDR2) etc, it will work, well you cannot access the registry because you cannot get into vista to access it? so no the registry is off limits.

I have now tested vista using 256Mb of DDR RAM, and its running fine, The Aero Theme works, but its static, so all the items are still and do not move, its performce is good, and stable, But it would not load correctly when using 128Mb of DDR RAM,

I Will look into a work around to the Vista RAM problem, but i do not belive its possible, it was with the XP Family, because you would just change a certain file. but this is not the case in vista.

    Thank :)

  6. Hi, i know this is posted all over the MSFN Forum and the UACD Guide,

but it just will not work, at all

I Just wunt a simple explination of how to install all my programs via the GUIRUNONCE or BATCH command,

i have put my installer files into the corrent folder,

and ive edited my winnt.sif file, and ive checked the batch files work, but after setup finished it says it cant find the .exe or .msi file to install

and its really making me pull my hair out, ive wasted soo many cds and dvds, (because VMWare is too slow  ) lol

    Plase Help,

    Thank you

    Ethan.

Complete id*** with Silent Installes :blushing::thumbup

  7. Hello, this is a repost, but i shall answer wot i know any way, (if im allowed to )

Well firstly is the Partition called "EISA Utilities"?

If so u need a special Program i used parition Magic or the like

To simply copy the partition to the local C Drive or you %SYSTEMDRIVE%.

Then you can edit the partition, and make it usalble with NLite.

But i do not recommend removing the original EISA Parition,

because the Manufacture recommend this is kept for Warrenty and Support Reason

    Hope This Helps

    Ethan.

  8. Hello,

im a local system builder in my area, and i also repair, install etc many system, including alot of Dells,

now when i work with Dell i will edit the Dell installation disc, i wont use a custom XP Disc, with a VLK Licence,

Because for somereason i get the same erros as you, i get a hardware error, but this is after installation. when it does a final restart

but when i spent a hour or so working on the Actual Dell installation Disc, my problem was solved,

then i used sysprep, to make sure they were all legal, with their own Licence.

    Hope this helps

    Ethan

  9. Hi, firstly have you checked out the MSFN link to the Multi boot DVD? and also no it is not a bug, that i know of,

because it is in a unattened section of the winnt.sif file, why show the EULA if it is unattened.

I know what you want to do, but i don't understand why?

sorry, but if you can explain more i will try to help

    thanks

  10. I was looking to do a similar thing, but ive got different harddrives, so its not really a problem, i just use the autopartition section of winnt.sif, and im away, i did how ever wonder if i can get it also to boot into cd automatically, then run text setup, then restart then not boot into cd again, i found it was possible, but took sooo long to do i didnt bother, sorry for the sudden subject change

    Ethan
