well, as far as i know, it is a limitation of invision board so that your email doesn't get spammed with all the replies... I am guessing you are using a mysql database system... well, the easiest way is to get a database management software package like PHPMyAdmin (Freeware,Open Source) , read the instructions on how to install that on your server (basically editing a config file and uploading the files to your server..., also , make sure when editing the config file of phpmyadmin, that you set the auth-type to "Cookie" so that only the ones who know the password can get in, otherwise, everyone who knows the url to phpmyadmin can go right in..) After you have set that up, at the entry screen, you will see a textbox asking you to enter a name for a new database name, when you enter the name and click on "add database" or "Submit" button, whichever applies, it should add the database for you , and should be ready to use Also, i want to point out that most web hosts have phpMyAdmin pre installed on their servers so that it is easier for their users to manage... Be sure to check that, because if they already have that, then you are saved from all the work, all you need to do is log in there and add a db thru there (which is very easy as i explained ) Let me know how it goes, Blackwar

Small note to jay I just looked around a little bit , and found out that, your logo is a teency bit big, not a big deal, but it extends the header image table by 5-6 mm You can see this here : http://blackwar2.netfirms.com/msfnss1.jpg another thing, if you make the logo smaller than the header table, then it will automatically get resized for someone with a lower resolution.. however if you put a large image, it won't resize the image, since the "td" variables are usually set with percentages ( example : <td width="50%"> , which means the tables will adjust according to the users resolution, if it is 50% percent, the tables will ALWAYS be the half of the users screen, unless an image is stopping the table from being resized..) , it will only resize the table sizes to its minimum possible so it fits the users window completely (something like the image xper made would be just perfect for all users for all resolutions depending to my tests) Just wanted to give you some tips mate, Hope it helps, Blackwar

i used to have the problem with "Hang on Saving Your Settings" , and i found out that the problem was a faulty memory stick.. After i replaced that, everything worked well ... Thanks for the info, this should help a lot of people

at the bottom of every thread, there is an option : "track this topic" Did you click that piaqt? because this board does not automatically send emails to new replies like vBulletin did... You need to manually select the threads you want to subscribe yourself tell me if that works Blackwar

I'm not sure about the programs that come with the motherboard, but i know that the Windows "System Restore" doesn't do a drive image like norton ghost.. what it does is backup the most critical areas of windows ( like the registry, dlls, etc.. ) . And a backed up system restore can only be used on that windows installation. Meaning you can't backup, format and then load it back up... If you want to resize the partition without reformatting, you HAVE to use an external program, i don't think there is another way, if anyone else knows of a way, please let us know Blackwar
