Can any one tell me how to replace the puppy in search windows, i want to have a different one (say for example, my photo) how to do that. Hi I guess it's possible. Previously I burnt a cd with (1) XP SP Home Edition & (2) XP SP Professional Edition (Both on one 650 MB CD). It is possible cos I've made Windows 2003 - 3 versions on one normal cd of 700 MB (1) Windows 2003 (Data Center), (2) Windows 2003 (Web Server) & (3) Windows 2003 (Enterprise Edition). I also made another cd with (1) Windows 98 SE & (2) Windows XP SP 2 on one normal cd. Right now I don't have the tutorials (as I am at office). Hi, this is the method I always try and use. It works fine. This way I check whether my unattended cd works fine before burning a cd. First create a folder in the root directory of your D: like xp3. My file structure is D:\xp3\i386, D:\xp3\$OEM$, D:\xp3\*.* (other files like setup.exe etc.,). I just nlite this xp3 with all updates & hotfixes using nlite and for few updates/hotfixes (for KB928365, KB928366 updates for Dot Net) i use autoscript entries. You need not to make any changes to any files for winnt.sif just change the entries for selecting the partition to format and file system. (Note don't remove the Operating system options from the remove components section for this purpose). Now, once you've nlitened, just run the setup.exe, select new installation. Here, though our xp3 is unattended it will ask for serial no, name, regional setting, network settings. (Important click advanced options and select let me choose the partition where I want to install os) It will copy files and restart after restarting it goes through the usual procedure it will ask for which partition to format. Hi all, so far I've created a UAXP CD with necessary softwares. I want to add some extra features like when I boot from the CD it should ask for options like (1) Check system for virus (on clicking this link my virus program on cd which is capable of scanning viruses from a bootable cd) should work. (2) Read data from NTFS volumes, so that I can make a backup of the files, in case needed. (3) Read data from Linux / Mac, so that I can make a backup of the files, in case needed. (4) Install XP OS (for fresh HDD) (5) Install programs (on clicking this my WPI application should work, of course this will be used in GUI mode only after OS installation). Hi all, I have Nero 7.exe + a .reg file which will register the serial number etc., Using $OEM$ folders method, I used to execute the .reg file before and after that I used to execute the Nero 7.exe file and it always worked fine. Now, I want to do the same thing with WPI. I've seen before reg & after entries. Can any one tell me the syntax for before reg entry. "%wpipath\install\regfiles\nero7.reg" . this is the thing i use, but it doesn't work. thru dos command i used "regedit /S nero7.reg" . how to do this with wpi.

I've extracted nero setup file and removed some unwanted files and then again made a .7z archive and made a .exe file as per the instructions in the help file and on http://msfn.org/board. i was able to create it successfully, but the problem is it just installed into the programfiles directory. the structure where it installed is c:\Program Files\Ahead\. It works fine. The problem is how to get the entries in the start menu for the same program as I don't see any entries for the software in the start menu. Kindly, help me. Everytime I've to go to the C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero and select the nero.exe file to burn a cd. What I want to do is get the link in the start menu. after automatically without user intervention. Hi I too was facing the problem creating .cab files. I tried IExpress, makecab, etc softwares but, all were a bit tricky. They are not simple, as IExpress asks you to select files type name etc., Last week i found a new software it is ALPHA ZIP (www.alphazip.com). Download it. It is excellent. Now, to create to create .cab just select the files u want , right click select alpha-zip -> select compress into -> xxx.cab (u'll be shown lot of extensions like .zip, .rar etc). and it will create a .cab file in the same directory just cut it and paste it somewhere else to use in future. Hi I had installed IE7 silently with my unattended xp sp 2 cd. It worked fine. For this you need to have a genuine copy of windows xp (which will pass the WGA validation process). Download the IE7. Rename it to IE7F. Copy it to svcpack folder in your i386 folder. Add ie7f.exe /quiet /passive /nobackup /norestart to svcpack.inf file in i386 folder (along with other updates, hotfixes, programs - if u wish).

Hi All, I don't know all about IE 7 Integrating. But, I'll try it if it reduces the size of my unattended xp cd. Right now I am using IE7 RC1 & IE7 Final (I tried this yesterday, works fine) through svcpack.inf method by adding few switches. My unattended xp sp 2 cd with all updates and IE7, WMP11beta2 works fine.

Hi everything goes fine with my unattended cd. But, in the T-13 stage a window pops saying virtual memory too low. I click ok and everything goes fine. How to prevent this.
