  1. Hey FJ,i didn't know we'd changed our name to Technozonez
  2. Our sources with knowledge of the matter told me that NVIDIA had stopped producing the GeForce4 Ti4600 graphics processors at TSMC fabs and the company’s closest partners confirmed the information. Moreover, some retailers indicated the tight supply of the GeForce4 Ti4600 based products in the channel. A week ago we reported that NVIDIA cannot fulfil the demand on the GeForce4 Ti4600, Ti4200 and GeForce4 MX440 chips with AGP 4x support. Apparently, the Santa Clara, California-based fabless semiconductor developer started to produce the GeForce4 MX with AGP 8x support instead of the same GPUs but with AGP 4x. This caused temporary shortage of the graphics chips, but everything should be on track soon. The lack of the GeForce4 Titanim processors was caused by the shift of the GeForce4 Ti4200 to AGP 8x specifications and end-of-life (EOL) for the GeForce4 Ti4600 GPUs. Currently GeForce4 Ti4600 based graphics cards cannot compete with the ATI’s RADEON 9700 PRO powered solutions in terms of performance and sometimes price-performance ratio. Moreover, in a couple of weeks NVIDIA announces the highly-anticipated NV30 VPU and the advanced users will wait for the newer graphics cards to come, as a result they will not buy the GeForce4 Ti4600 now. Unfortunately for enthusiasts, our sources now indicate that NVIDIA will not be able to supply the NV30 shortly after the announcement at the Comdex Fall and their closest and most loyal partners had been told about it before. As a result, for example, Medion AG from Germany purchased 400 thousands of the GeForce4 Titanium GPUs, causing the tight supply for the rest companies and the prices on the GeForce4 Ti4200 and Ti4600 chips rose up $11 and $19 respectively per one chip. I should note that the GeForce4 Ti4600 based graphics cards will not cease to exist in a week or two.One will still be able to buy them in certain retail stores for about $299 or lower. Nevertheless, it seems that NVIDIA will not be able to provide $399 graphics cards in mass quantities this year. source xbitlabs

  10. Well i can only presume you have changed your log on procedure.Maybe you wasn't logged on as an Admin prior to this happening. Other than what i have previously suggested,i can't think of any other solutions.
  11. Have you switched users? It would show up on it's own if you didn't log in as an Admin. If you log on as Admin you will see all the documents folders,if you log on as a guest or as another user you only see the Shared Documents folder. One thing, have you tried a system restore?
  12. As far as i am aware you can't show the "Shared Documents" folder on it's own. It either has to be listed with the user documents or not at all, because they all belong in the same directory.
  13. Here's an alternative method of removal. (Backup registry first) Run regedit and navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ My Computer \ NameSpace \ DelegateFolders\ Look for the key {59031a47-3f72-44a7-89c5-5595fe6b30ee},right click and delete it. This method does not require a reboot.
  14. Yes it will remove all the document folders including the Shared Documents folder because they are all within the same directory. You can't remove the folders individually. What i would suggest is that you put a shortcut to your "Shared Documents" on the desktop, that way you don't have to keep opening My Computer to access them. Then run the reg file.
  15. To reverse the procedure and get the document entries back in My Computer again. Open regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer Right click the NoSharedDocuments value and select delete. Reboot for the changes to take effect.
  16. Here's an updated Zip file, with just one reg file in. docsremoval.reg docsremoval.zip
  17. gamehead i've made a small reg file which removes the documents entries from My Computer. Unzip the attachment, and double click the docsremoval.reg file to add it to the registry. You need to reboot for the changes to take effect. When you have rebooted the docs will no longer show in My Computer. UPDATE:there are 2 reg files in that Zip file,i forgot to delete shareddocsremoval.reg docsremoval.zip
  18. OK Gamehead try this. Open windows explorer and go to Tools > Folder Options. On the File Types tab scroll down the bottom of the list to "ZIP".Click to highlight it and then hit the Advanced button.Put a tick in Confirm open after download and click OK.Then close the Folder options window. Now when you download a ZIP file it should ask you where to save it.
  19. Good spot Pia,you beat me to it. :bigok Kelli, Download TweakUI for Windows XP. here Run the install, then open the program. In the left hand pane click on "Explorer".In the right hand pane menu uncheck Allow Recent Documents on Start Menu.Click apply.Reboot for the changes to take effect.
  20. Kelli are you using XP Pro or Home Edition? If you are using Pro. Go Start > Run. Type "gpedit.msc" (without quotes) and press enter. In the Group Policy window look in the left hand pane and under "user configuration" expand the Administrative templates tree by clicking on the + sign. Click on Start Menu and Taskbar. In the right hand pane look for "Do not keep history of recently opened documents".Double click it and in the new window that opens put a dot next to Enabled. Then click apply.Close all the windows.Job done. From your next reboot recent documents will no longer be listed.
  21. The company your Dad works for probably obtained a Volume License Key (VLK) from M$,which means all their machines use the same key.
  22. Get as close as you can to the right or left hand side of the Earth with your cursor, then hold the left button down and flick the mouse up at the same time releasing the button. I've got mine orbiting about 2mm from the Earth. Follow the moon with your cursor and use the same technique to orbit the moon
  23. Make sure you have entered the correct details for your MySQL host, username and password. What have you set the host as? Try localhost
