@ MHz i wonder why the european version of xp has an uncompress winntbbu.dll when my xp from the U.S. does not? also when i modified my winntbbu.dll i didn't use modifype only when i change the colors did i use it. I wonder what is the difference?

I would start by read this page http://unattended.msfn.org ( about 1 day and u should get an idea) then http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=32957 ( take about a week to learn everything there to get a general idea) then when yours done u can visit my guide just click on the pretty picture below.

I think the key here is that u mentioned replace bmps. what else other than 103 did u replace? also did u put your modified winntbbu.dll into I386 or winntbbu.dl_ The guide has been update. The Color Changer for download on my guide has also been updated. Pls note that the solution to the Dutch guy's problem was solved WHEN he removed the winntbbu.dll in his I386 folder. Are u sure you didn't modify anything else. Like i said in my guide if u modify files or settings outside my guide. I don't know what will happen.

u can't take someone else registry file... each computer is different. hardware, software, etc. u better of re installing windows xp.

GoeniGoeGoe 1. PLS. Answer the question: --are u using nlite? --do u hv sp2? --is your xp copy legit? MOVE your winntbbu.dll to a safe place. delete whatever winntbbu.dll you have in I386 folder now put the winntbbu.dl_ into your U.A. I386 folder. pls do a search again for winntbbu*.* again. just to be extra sure. @ MCT thanks for helping many hands make lite work of huge tasks. ------------------------------------------------------------ Nice MCT i looked at the bat file. now we will knw if they do have modifype or not.

GoeniGoeGoe let me ask u a question. you said u downloaded my Christina Boot Screen Setup. what did u putting into your U.A. i386 folder? winntbbu.dll or winntbbu.dl_ you said also u had an uncompress winntbbu.dll (original) in your U.A. I386 folder. do u also have a winntbbu.dl_ (original) Did you XP come with a computer or laptop? there appears to be a pattern emerging now. pls give me more info.

If all those make use of other files, those can be replaced with newer versions too.I've described in those posts linked - to replace the liveupdate,livereg,and such components of NAV. I'm sure NIS is also modular enough to make the "replace with new files" possible. I just reformated and installed everything. i had to dl about 20 MB of updates for NIS and Norton Antivirus. I would really like to know how i can intergrate those updates. for NIS 2005

crahak's script does not work for me. it only installs some but not all the extensions. why is that?
