what wrong information are u talking about. I personally flashed my old 486 computer with the wrong bios i sent it for repair they said sorry. bios is fryed we hv to order a new one. if he HAD a new PC it would never have happened. Why like i said NEW PC boards Check to see if the bios update is compatible. Check your FACTS before u SPEAK . LOL

dsl speed is dependent on many factors when i was living in chicago. we had dsl at the office and it was slow due to the distance the CO or central office at the house which was closer to the CO it was blazzing fast. you can go to dslreports and check out their guides.

larciel and what if i want to add my own Drivers that is not included in the drivers pack? Like my ATI mobility drivers or my Bluetooth for my Sony Laptop? So where would i repack my BlueTooth Drivers? And dont for get my Ati Graphic Mobility 128MB video card driver? how can u repack when u dont even know what entries goes where LOL. I just need to know now if the picture i posted above is normal or not.

I hv a question Bashrat Suppose i use Method 2, but it does not contain the special drivers for my laptop. what about my other drivers. A. should i still use the 7zip method and just add the entries to my Winnt.sif manually or what? edit is this right? after using Method two this is my Folder Structure now. inside i hv this

normally when flashing the bios it should tell u that u hv a incorrent or incompatible version. as gamehead says no turning back. what kind of motherboard do u hv? and model number?

u hv to ask gunsmokingman. he said it works and i trust him. read his post carefully use should be able to figure it out. it is not the process of replacing but rather i wont and dont want to hack the shell32.dll from kb890047 took me hours before to do mine. now i just load iconpackager from stardock and change my look whenever.

clavicle i beg to differ. kb899947 comes with a new updated shell32.dll uncompressed version if for example u hack your shell32.dl_ and put it in your i386 and u hv kb890047 in your svcpack folder. It will over writer it as soon as it is launched. I tried different methods but Gunsmokingman's method is the best and only one available. As i said to much work for me.
