a well known fact is that heat travells up, so why does all the graphic cards have fans and heatsinks on the bottom side? why not put the chipsets and gpu's on the top side for easier thermal dissipation?

AMD will bring out dual-core CPUs next year. meaning two REAL CPUs on one piece of silicon. So you get two separate cpus. That is real multithreading. The same concept exists already with IBM (Power), SUN (SPARC) and HP (PA-RISC) CPUs.

I am somewhat limited with money so i cant go out and build the latest and greatest, but i still think i could get a somewhat acceptabel computer for around 4000sek (swedish kronor) This is becouse i work in a computer store and can buy things cheaper. still its alott of money for me right now. I use reconnect which is a remake of dc++ with a key feature of allowing you to download one and a same file from many users at the same time like many download managers does, flashget, getright etc. this in my oppinion makes it far superior. why is it that nearly all hubs that run yoshis hub script ban revconnect? whats so bad about users who have it? i have starting download of a movie, thinking this will be home in the morning. only to wake up check the computer and notice the fast user disconnected only for dc++ to auto downloading from another source, this time some crappy user whit a slow upload that sort of makes a bottleneck in the download queue.

I live in sweden and have ADSL , not wireless. but i do have a 3com network card so i will try changing the power settings.. also, the funny thing is that when this starts happening to my computer the other computers in my network still function fine, including the xbox, they can all connect to the internet as usual, i am running a gateway system where all computers are connected to a switch into my second network card and my 3com NIC to the adsl modem. I have norton corp ed. 8.1.1 installed so i dont think its a virus problem, i also have netpeeker that keeps a steady eye on all applications using the internet.

oh man....they need to work on this... C:\Documents and Settings\Administratör\Application Data\Mozilla i deleted the "Mozilla" folder and it reseted all the settings... thats real nice, since the firefos manager didn't work. but still, how do i uninstall it?

at work i installed firefox, and after it was complete it asked me if i wanted to import bookmarks from IE. so i did. it imported everything automaticly. very nice. i installed firefox at home, it did not ask me to import IE favorites... how? with the bookmark manager it seems only one at a time can be imported.

i have the odd problem of describing this xp bug. after a few hours of uptime internet explorer and outlook starts acting as if i dont have an internet connetion, and sometimes it acts as if it were glitching, for examlpe: i visit www.imdb.com and it loads partially, most pictures dont load (marked where it should be with "x") and miscolored. and i reload for it to display without even a second of waiting "page could not be displayed", yet again i press refresh for it to display the site in perfect condition, this happens on all sites. about the same time outlook starts nagging me to check the internet connection.... but when this all fu*ks up im still able to download and upload through various applications, browse ftp's and stuff like that, the only thing that works is rebooting the computer. after another few hours the loop starts over. i've noticed that if i just logout and log in all works well, but for even shorter time. please oh please help me. and just now i installed firefox which also is affected.

Have you ever noticed that whenever you try having 2 rows it resets itself? after a reboot, or some change in desktop resolution for example. Ive' tried Lock position, I've tried something in the registry (can't remember was a long time ago) and that didn't help. this is how it shoud be: but always turns back to: now, I never had this problem in either windows ME or Windows 2000.

I have been irritated by the very same thing. also, this: Question: This is a new feature in windows xp where in the folder tree in windows explorer when you expand a folder you see subfolder AND compressed files, I don't want the compressed files to be shown, only folders like the eariler windows version. Solution: it is a feature of XP as well as Me, but it can be disabled. Go to Start, Run, and type the following: regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll That stops working sometimes and i hafto it all again. AND the "view as list" remember settings for all folders sometimes doesn't work, it shows folder 1 as list, i enter folder 2 and then go back to folder 1 which has changed to view as large icons, it's like it forgetts settings sometimes.

This should be possible, i think i remember reading a guide for this but for windows 98. How do i make the changes?
