Small update.
The added "Elan" tab to the "Mouse" Control Panel should be this Registry Entry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{0066D4B3-8DE0-4D08-AA83-EDD50E2431F0}
Try deleting it (if you have it).
Then open the Mouse Control Panel.
No "Elan" Tab.
now, save this as .reg and import it:
