Because I agree with you, and don't want to install the crappy DX9 on my PC. I actually agree with you sometimes, but not in the case with attachments. And I think D.Draker was the first one here to point out to DX9 being a severely outdated, buggy, bloated piece of garbage.3 points

It's for those who don't understand from the first time, convenient. Or probably to remind those who want to play mods that they are only members, again members, now in a different colour with larger, bold fonts.2 points

I officially gave up. Maybe I'll get back to Supermium in a couple of years, I wanted to love it. It's slower and slower with every release. With all those endless fixes, I can't keep up.2 points

Don't post if you don't care, it has nothing to do with anything you wrote. It's just common sense, not everyone can visit the site daily like you do every day, several times per day. Keeping the screens for one month, at least, it's more appropriate and makes sense. You again over-exaggerate about "decades".2 points

@Sampei.Nihira wrote he could do "everything that was written on the previous page in this thread about privacy is removable from about:config", It assumes without using extensions, so yeah, it's still irrelevant. https://msfn.org/board/topic/186450-firefox-a-promised-land-of-privacy-that-never-happened-look-elsewhere-unless-youre-a-coder-with-the-ability-to-stop-the-enormous-data-mining/?do=findComment&comment=12724422 points

It was always the case with Thorium, if you remember, it had been stuck at 109 for years, all until @win32 gave him the code. I'd say it depends on win32's mood. Probably, he will share with him again, probably not. Chromium 130 is already available at the devs lab, by the way.1 point

Not true, as usual. "Was NOT able to find a way to disable this, even in about:config." "Automatic connections to some websites you've visited, including their trackers Websites you visit most often are added to the New Tab panel. When you then open a new tab, Firefox will sometimes make requests to the sites in there, including some of their trackers. I haven't determined how it works yet. Sometimes it doesn't make the requests at all; other times you end up with hundreds of images, scripts, trackers, etc. loaded simply because you opened a new tab (without visiting any website explicitly). Was NOT able to find a way to disable this, even in about:config." Original article.1 point

This is your OPINION. Chromium-based is really no different than Firefox-based - both have Sh^TLoadS of telemetry that the END-USER must jump through hoops to prevent/disable. A default setup right out of the box for Firefox typically has HUNDREDS (PLURAL!) of telemetry connections on the FIRST RUN (if you know what you are doing, you do this FIRST RUN when not connected to the internet!). A default setup right out of the box for Chrome typically has LESS THAN TWO DOZEN. "To each their own". But you are deceived or blind to refer to Firefox as "privacy-friendly" when the end-user is faced with many many MANY more HOOPS TO JUMP THROUGH to make it remotely qualify as "privacy-friendly". Opt-Out is one thing. But only a tiny handful of Firefox users even know that this "opt-out" even exists! https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxmasterrace/comments/walsc6/why_do_people_keep_acting_like_firefox_is_a/?rdt=34771 This isn't 1990 when Firefox truly was "privacy-friendly". ANONYMOUS DATA is still a privacy violation in my book! I view Firefox + Opt-Out as no different than UNGOOGLED CHROMIUM = Chrome + Opt-Out But either way you look at it, it is the responsibility of the end-user to "opt-out". "My two cents..."1 point

Just for clarification. Only the scores are completely arbitrarily defined values. You have to read more carefully what I write. And please don't mix everything up!1 point

@NotHereToPlayGames BTW, here is the corrected link in the way uCyborg posted it: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Pentium-4-280GHz-vs-Intel-Atom-N450/m3163vsm31901 point
-
Thanks for the link! However, I never used 3DMark before as I am not a gamer. The graphics on my Windows XP computer is very weak anyways.1 point
-
No. What am I to win here? I already lost. As I already stated, your CPU is definitely weaker than mine. But how much weaker can only investigated if there are meaningful values. It can only be solved statistically and thus mathematically.1 point
-
You are somehow talking your head off here. You and only you were trying, statistically completely absurdly, to make a statement about how much faster my CPU is than yours from artificial, completely arbitrarily defined values. And by that I mean the CPU score, since you didn't offer detailed values. That is statistically and mathematically pure nonsense. If you really want to know more about our CPUs in a more meaningful way, you have to compare the values in the section CPU Test Suite to get information how many times faster my CPU is than yours. So please be more serious when making statements!1 point
-
Unfortunately, nonsense. You didn't provide your values. Only the values from the System Test Suite via screenshot. Where is the list of all values? You only get them via exporting from PCMark05. Look at my post: https://msfn.org/board/topic/186451-overall-performance-comparison-between-different-computers-under-windows-xp/?do=findComment&comment=1272362 I mean the detailed values I posted in the code area. And the values in the section CPU Test Suite have to be compared to get information how many times faster my CPU is than yours.1 point
-
That seems exaggerated to me. I have disclosed all my values in detail, even from the CPU Test Suite. Where are yours? Without these values, your statement is just conjecture and not statistically proven. You just wanted to set a value for calculating a geometric mean to zero, and now you want to be able to read from an artificially, completely arbitrarily obtained value how many times faster my CPU is than yours. That's very funny.1 point
-
Test completed. Unfortunately, as reported, no PCMark Score was calculated due to two tests in the System Test Suite that failed: Here are my results: My self-calculated PCMark Score gained by reducing the discrete characteristic values is 1290. Of course without any guarantee, as it is not quite clear which units PCMark05 uses in its algorithm. But I think I did it right. So are you going to fill in a "zero" for the failed tests? Or just geomean a smaller subset? A geometric mean is the nth root of a product with n factors. If you set one value to zero, the whole product will be zero and the nth root of zero is zero. My answer to your first question is therefore no. You can't set a value from your data to zero. And yes, you have to reduce the set of values, i.e. you have to build a smaller subset by removing characteristics.1 point

Of course it's not! @Sampei.Nihira would've needed to compare to Brave with its native adblocker.1 point
