I cant seem to stay logged in for more than one day or two.

Sometimes Ill go to the forum and Ill see the guest panel on the main page (meaning Im not logged in).

This seemed to happen recently and my Firefox 3.0.3 is set to accept cookies from msfn.org. What could be wrong?

And one more thing, Im not clearing my cookies and its only this forum.

And I thought it's my customized Opera config again. Poor thing - I blame it for all sort of stuff, and it's innocent.

Opera doesn't even suggest "wand" password. It seems login info is stored/managed in cookies only.

This is not security, it's paranoia. Please change it.

It is not that and if it is we will not change it. Why MSFN never been hacked? What you think?

Anyway, we run IPB v2.3.6

Paranoia in a sense that it doesn't trust the user (or his browser).

My comment was directed to the authors of the software. It seems everybody is taking that route these days. Instead of securing a (comfortable) feature, they toss it away altogether.

But you're the boss. :)

So, is session expiration set or is it not? It is a somewhat frustrating problem, because it'll happen whilst I am posting a response, say. I get an error that I'm not logged in, and I have to log back in and paste my response (I now know to copy and paste EVERYTHING before hitting "reply", just in case!).
