Woomera Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 ok i accidentaly fast formated my 120GB HDD.so i gave a few softwares a try.the best was r-studio that unlike other that only found many files this software actualy found the folders and their files so i can save the structures,though every time i try to recover a file it gives an error says:"software has encountered a problem and needs to close..."i attached the details of this error given by the software.Crash_details.txt

Woomera Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 Of course not.i chose a drive in my second HDD. i havnt written anything or changed anything on the first hdd so i can recover with r-studio.its the only program that can restore files with the folders structures and even filenames.
jaclaz Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 If you just quick formatted the drive, you should try TESTDISK, before anything else:http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDiskIn other words, what you should attempt first thing after a format is a Partition recovery instead of a file recovery.jaclaz
