I like the last one: the windows flag is hard to see in the one above it.

I've read before that a favicon can be no more than 16 colors. Is that true?

Nope, atleast, its no longer true. The original requirement was that it had to be a .ico only, but all browsers since IE5 onwards support GIF and PNG too.

16x16 or larger. 16x16 is the most widely used size. Mac OS X sometimes uses 128x128.

Way to big. At the usual size of about 16x16 or 32x32, it would be very hard to see.

What have I stuffed up? How can I fix it?
