usually in windows xp to run msconfig, you would click on start, then run, then type in msconfig but where do i go in windows vista to do that? there is not start>run option??

That's one of the wonderful Vista features, a search and run box in one. It's awesome.

Are you sure? Try entering a local or network path; it does not work. It is only a search form.

:blink: I think you broke yours...

While C: won't work C:\ works just fine, as does \\ComputerName

WOW! I liked the interactive search box but being a run box as well that's just excellent! Just tried it out. Works a treat! Not only that but you can select the folders while you're typing by pressing the down key then carry on typing the rest of the path. Sweet!

Hm - works just fine here. Have you vlited your install, or disabled any services?
