CoffeeFiend
Just wanted to try WLM, but first thing after logging in I get a "invalid name" error or such. After 5 minutes of looking around (why did they have to hide options under a button we can't even see???), only to find out I can't even change it - just see the screenshot:Any ideas? Jeremy
First I've seen of that. Have you associated your e-mail address with the Windows Live Passport?
CoffeeFiend
Have you associated your e-mail address with the Windows Live Passport?Yep.First time I try this thing too... I'll be reformating pretty soon, so I'm not too worried about it (hopefully it'll work then), and it's not like I absolutely need it either (just trying it for fun, not big on the IM thing at all). Zxian
I've seen the error message that my display name can't be changed, but not that it's an "invalid name"... odd.I'm guessing that you've tried reinstalling the program?
Tarun
Perhaps try signing on Windows Messenger and change your name there; then relog on with WLM?
CoffeeFiend
I had almost forgotten about this thread...I'm guessing that you've tried reinstalling the program?I have tried that (even though it was a clean install). Still the same.Perhaps try signing on Windows Messenger and change your name there; then relog on with WLM?Just tried that, no go either. But no big worries. I don't really have a use for it anyways.
