MGadAllah Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Hello allI know that there are too many fans for MPCI want to know if there is any way to increase brightness when I watch any video on MPC as the way I did with WMP?Thanks
DigeratiPrime Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 I dont think MPC has this ability directly, but if you are using FFDShow I believe you can adjust this in "Video decoder configuration" under "Luminance offset"
MGadAllah Posted December 27, 2006 Author Posted December 27, 2006 Thanks a lot for your reply...But I've faced another new thing that do not know why does it happenI'm using latest k_lite codecs but when I open any video I found the picture separated into two mirrored screens, and it is rotated also...see attachment
DigeratiPrime Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 uninstall k_lite and any other "codec packs" and just use FFDShow.
MGadAllah Posted December 27, 2006 Author Posted December 27, 2006 uninstall k_lite and any other "codec packs" and just use FFDShow.Does it means that I can use FFDShow only!?Will it support play different video codecs format?I really do wish to completly remove WMP and keep WMPCThanks
DigeratiPrime Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 FFDshow decodes a lot of formats. In fact the only "codecs" i might install after FFDshow is Quicktime and Real Alternative. Codec packs generally are not as efficient as FFDshow and cause problems. You can remove WMP by going to Add/Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components.
Jeremy Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 I just ditched the K-Lite Codec Pack and installed FFDShow.
MGadAllah Posted December 27, 2006 Author Posted December 27, 2006 I just ditched the K-Lite Codec Pack and installed FFDShow. you mean filtered K-Lite Codecs, and choosed FFDShow in custom installation for example, or you mean another issue!?Thanks
Jeremy Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 No, I uninstalled the K-Lite Codec Pack and installed FFDShow. I don't know how I can make that any clearer.
LLXX Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 FFDshow > *It plays a *lot* of formats, if you enable them. In fact I didn't know until recently that it did WMV and FLV as well. Now it's the only codec I have on my system
