Slimy Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 What site do you use, other than neowin, to get the latest day-to-day software releases? I'm looking for a site that is always on top with releases (here's my list so far)http://www.filehippo.comhttp://www.fileforum.comhttp://www.download.comhttp://www.majorgeeks.comhttp://www.softpedia.comhttp://www.snapfiles.comhttp://www.freewarefiles.com/http://www.tucows.com/
CptMurphy Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I use download.com and softpedia.comI'd list other sites but they may not be allowed on here.
tain Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I check majorgeeks every day. Why do you say "other than Neowin"? It may be popular, but it is hardly a default. I've visited that site maybe a few times total. Why isn't MSFN.org on the list?
DigeratiPrime Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I like FileForums appearance the best, but Softpedia is the most up-to-date usually and has the largest collection or software and screenshots. FileHippo is nice and simple but not as active imo. I usually check through the FileForum news once a week to see if I missed any updates or interesting new programs. And Download.com absolutely sucks.
Slimy Posted December 16, 2006 Author Posted December 16, 2006 Why isn't MSFN.org on the list? Because that's where I post the news to! It's too bad that some sites like tucows or download.com I can't find any rss feeds for :/
tain Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Tucows feed: http://www.tucows.com/whats/new/689?rssIndex of download.com feeds: http://www.cnet.com/4520-6022-5115100.html
Slimy Posted December 16, 2006 Author Posted December 16, 2006 (edited) Tucows feed: http://www.tucows.com/whats/new/689?rssIndex of download.com feeds: http://www.cnet.com/4520-6022-5115100.htmlThanks! Anyone know any other good sites/feeds? Edited December 16, 2006 by Slimy
albator Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 With softpedia.com you can subscribe to a software. This way you will be automaticly advised by email when your favorites software update. I have also try versiontracker, but Softpedia is the best.
Jeremy Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 And Download.com absolutely sucks.Agreed. I check FileHippo, MSFN, and two others not allowed here.
